NEW FOR SUMMER 2008!!

Camp Closenuff (AKA The Camp Out Back), part of the Heart Winds House property, will be available for those who don't mind roughing it. Sleeping a maximum of 12, bunkroom style, (6 beds in upstairs loft; 4 beds behind kitchen and double bed fold-out couch in great room), this little-cabin-in-the woods-out-back features a private, but convenient, spot in a small clearing in the forest, cape-style "cabin construction" with two stories and covered porch, a propane cook stove and refrigerator, a wood stove for heat, bottled water, a real modern-fashioned out house with toilet seat, it's own designated outdoor fire pit and a resident porcupine that shows up around dinner time to gnaw on the siding. What it DOES NOT have are: running water, electricity, linens, fancy furniture, telephone service (except cellular), TV, and eating utensils.

WE PROVIDE: bottled water (delivered daily) for drinking, cooking and washing up; pots, pans and utensils for cooking; a solar-heated outdoor shower; propane to run the cook stove, refrigerator and the lamps; trash and recycling collection; fire extinguishers; safety instructions on how to use everything; and a friendly nudge down the trail that leads to the camp -- about 1/3 mile walk on an easy, fairly level, well marked trail.

YOU PROVIDE: eating utensils, sleeping bags and towels, flashlights, the energy to carry it all out to the camp by foot or bike ONLY, common safety sense, and a sense of adventure.

CAMP CLOSENUFF RATES:
$150 per night, 2 night minimum, 12 persons maximum -- and that's pretty close quarters so don't even think of asking to include more people unless you are prepared to sleep out doors with the porcupine and other wild things in the woods!

RENTAL HOME POLICIES:

We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to insurance coverage restrictions, health and safety concerns, and cleaning issues:
a. Pets of any kind are NOT permitted.
b. Smoking is NOT allowed ANYWHERE in the house or on the property.
c. Automobiles, Snowmobiles, ATVs, Motorcycles and other Motorized vehicles, are NOT allowed anywhere on the property EXCEPT in the designated driveway and parking area.
d. Hunting, trapping and shooting are NOT allowed anywhere on the property during any season.

 Beatiful property!, September 5, 2008

We really enjoyed our recent stay at HWH! The property is stunning and very private with lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Our hosts were very accomodating, helpful and warm. We had a fantastic trip filled with lots of R&R.

Peaceful, beautiful, activity filled getaway, December 14, 2006
By A renter (Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA)
I have stayed in this house several times in all seasons. It has lots of windows with beautiful views on all sides. I particularly enjoyed waking up early in the morning and watching for deer to come out to feed. I have also seen moose and foxes in the meadow. I attended Christmas Eve services at the little village church with the snow floating down, eaten at the local restaurant, and shopped at the local stores. It was all a very peaceful, lovely experience.
