Description of the Burlington vacation home rental
A casual comfortable home featuring living room, dining room, entertainment room with big screen and beer on tap, high-speed wireless internet, office with separate phone and fax lines, sun room, fully equipped wood working shop, retro kitchen with new appliances, 2 remodeled bath rooms, barbecue, teak deck, and perennial gardens. Private beach association on Lake Champlain with beautiful swimming area, picnic site, beach house, volleyball etc. Kayaks and bikes. Access out the back yard to a 75 acre park with hiking trails, year round ice skating rink, tennis, basketball, playground, ball fields, and connection to a 10 mile paved bike path that follows the lake. Walk through park to shopping center with full size grocery, hardware, post office, restaurants etc. Downtown Burlington is 2 miles via bike path or road . The neighborhood is a quiet, traditional neighborhood of single family, year-round homes.
Area Description
Burlington is consistently voted the most livable city in America for good reason. In the same city we can go berry picking, see a Broadway performance at an award winning theater, ride a sunset cruse, see free concerts, and visit the best of New England. It has a vibrant downtown, excellent shopping, world class restaurants, 4 colleges, live theater and music,and a beautiful waterfront on the 6th largest lake in US. Many summer festivals, outdoor concerts, and museums. This year the city is celebrating the 400th anniversary of Champlain's discovery of the lake with many activities summer long. Hiking trails, 10 mile paved bike path, fishing, sailing, canoeing, swimming. Regional attractions include art galleries, Shelburne Museum, Stowe, Ben and Jerry's, Mad River Valley, Montreal, the Green Mountains and many state parks and national forests. The weather in Vermont in the summer is ideal with cool nights and warm days between 65 and 85 degrees. see
