Perched overlooking the gorgeous 12th Tee of the Mt. Mitchell Golf Course, The 12th Tee Lodge is the perfect getaway for your upcoming golf outing or family reunion. Luxurious and rustic, the home is lined inside with delicious-smelling cedar and features a beautiful stone fireplace, soaring ceilings and lots of windows. A custom master bath offers a whirlpool tub to relax in after a long day of golfing. Cable TV and an extensive video library are available for your entertainment.

The 12th Tee Lodge's expansive decking with built-in seating, grill, and quality patio furniture provide you with the perfect platform for relaxation. The kitchen offers everything a cook needs, with new appliances including flat top stove. Of course the basics are there too: toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher. The Mt. Mitchell area offers peace, quiet, fresh air and views if you just want to relax. And when you 're done relaxing, play a round of golf at the Mt. Mitchell Golf Course, rated 4 �' stars by Golf Digest and consistently ranked in the top ten courses of North Carolina. Try your hand at trout fishing in the pristine South Toe River. Go tubing at the Carolina Hemlocks Park. Hike to see nearby waterfalls, including Roaring Fork, Setrock Creek and Crabtree Meadows. Shop for pottery, gems and glassware created by local artisans. Climb the observation tower at Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi River at 6,684 feet. Try bicycling on the Blue Ridge Parkway, just 2 miles away.

Just spent Labor Day weekend at the 12-tee lodge. Wish this were my home, what a great house. The furnishings and bathrooms are very nice, what a comfortable stay. My kids did not want to go back to our home. The 1200 square foot basement with a game room had something to do with their not wanting to leave. What a great area, the golf course is beautiful and the staff very friendly. Burnsville, a town 10 miles north, is a great stop and the hamburgers at the Hilltop restaurant located downtown are the best we have had in a long while. Relaxing, fun, great food, great home with all the amenities. Hike with your kids to Roaring Fork falls, and let them play in the cold water. We will be back and maybe we will try and buy it from our gracious host, but I bet she will not be selling this hidden Gem. Families you will not go wrong at the 12 Tee lodge.
