Hi Bill, I just wanted to let you know that our vacation and your home was great. We had an exciting time getting there, with the road closed just before Bushkill Falls Road, the rain, and night... but we got there. The road was opened the next day, so no problems after that. Everyone liked the house. The boys all slept around the TV in the loft, and the girls shared a bedroom, so we actually had a bedroom left open. The open floor plan was nice. The kitchen was great. As far as the coffee maker, we went shopping one day and saw your model. We figured out that one of the baskets was missing and that's why is wouldn't work. We searched but never found the piece. Minor inconvenience as we still enjoyed the instant. (Thanks for letting us use yours). The kids also liked the surround plug in to their MP3. We saw deer almost every morning and evening and were able to get about 10 foot from them.

We found the Poconos area very beautiful. We really enjoyed Bushkill Falls. I was surprised to see that the Poconos overall was still quite quaint... meaning small, remote towns with no big tourist sections. That is fine with me. We were thinking it may be like the Smokey Mountains with towns like Gatlinburg or Pigon Forge, etc. We did a lot of site seeing including the Delaware Water Gap. We probably would have done more hiking, but couldn't convince the 5 kids to do that. Maybe next time without the kids!

"My sister came up for one night. She and Mom were at the pool yesterday. I will be going to the pool with mom today and then to a wildlife show at Bushkill Falls. Then we are going to try the Prime Rib at Big A's tonight......I am an early riser and I just love sitting out on the deck at this quiet time in the morning with a cup of coffee. Hi Bill, Just to let you know how wonderful our stay was in your house. We found the house was way nicer than it appeared in the pictures that we saw from Craiglist. It was so clean, neat, roomy, cozy, and homey. We loved the big windows in every room where you could let sunlight in at the day and moonlight in at night. The house is located in such a convenient community. It is only 5 minutes driving from the waterfall. It is so close to nature as well. We had a deer visiting us in the front yard on Saturday and Sunday morning. He was lying down on the lawn right by the window. Today I heard from Jonathan (a 5-year-old boy). He said I miss the house. I got really close to the deer.
We love how beautiful everything was and how everything was really comfortable. The massage chair was definitely a plus. My favorite was the big kitchen---the appliances were sparkling clean and cool (we didn't have to go shopping for ice because the fridge makes it---exceeding our expectations). Another favorite was the deck in the back. It would definitely be relaxing to grab a wine, sit there and forget everything (J) on a summer night. I couldn't believe you even had candles ready at the table. We brought a lot of our stuff but it turned out that you got almost everything there.Joy, New York City May 2009
