Very unique, handbuilt cordwood cabin, (approximately 1200 sq. ft.) nestled against the base of Sink Mountain in Northeast Tennessee. Situated on a state stocked trout stream, Doe Creek is one of the highest rated streams in the Southeast. Only five minutes to beautiful Watauga Lake, a TVA lake, consistently ranked as one of the cleanest in the U.S. Boat parking is available on property.

Convenient to the Tri Cities of Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol. Less than an hour to Boone, NC or Abingdon, VA.

Multiple area attractions available: boat rentals, horseback riding, camping, Appalachian Trail, multiple hiking opportunities, Barter theatre, snow skiing in winter months, Bristol Motor Speedway (50 Minutes away), bike trails, etc.

I travel a lot on business and have stayed at the finest hotels across the US and I must say this stay ranks right up there with the best of them. The cabin is cozy and clean and the owners are most accomodating and helpful. Our 15 year old daughter accompanied us and we thought at first she would be bored given that there is no cable or internet but she enjoyed being out in the country, away from the every day. It's a great opportunity for family time (board games, etc) and the owners have a list of videos you can borrow. Far enough away from town, yet close enough for groceries, etc. Wonderful time, great experience in a beautiful area of the country. We will be back!
