Description of the Cairo vacation apartment rental

This apartment is on the second floor of a private residence, so you will not have lots of foot traffic outside of your door. My Egyptian in-laws live on the first floor apartment. The street is very quiet and clean with few neighbors, and dead ends on one side. Trust me, this is ideal because there is no thru traffic.

The apartment has air conditioning in the main bedroom, Internet, a full kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 2 bedrooms, 1 king size bed, 1 full. The apartment is comfortable, clean, and close to Pyramid street. There is also a rooftop view of the pyramids.

You will be assured of a great stay because you can deal directly with me, an American (with perfect English of course), for all of your needs. We can shop for you before you come and have the apartment set up with the things you need.

Egypt has TONS to do. Pyramids, Khan El-Khalili Bazaar. There are so many things to do you won't have time. Egypt is a tourist city so there are many many tourist agencies to plan out a trip's worth of activities.

My stay at the apartment was originally scheduled for one week. I had a great time, felt very safe and at home as the apartment was homely containing all that I needed. I extended my stay for a second week. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, it's close to the Pyramids, local shops and registered taxis are available everywhere to take you where you need to go.

I have been to Cairo many times and had always stayed in a hotel. I wanted to experience life as a "local", so I decided to rent an apartment. I only wish I had done that sooner. I had the best time at this apartment on Mecca Street! The in-laws of the owner were so nice and accomodating. Even though they spoke almost no English and I speak no Arabic, we managed quite well. And the people that live on this street were just as nice! I was treated as if I was family. Everyone wanted to feed me all the time and the food was delicious! I made some very dear friends during my visit and plan on going back. The only negative I can say is that this apartment is not easy to find. However, if you find it, it is well worth it. And if you decide to stay here--contact me and I can give you some simple directions!
