Beautiful Private Catskill Ski House (#34850)

Write a review Second time coming as great as the last. House is exactly has described and owner keeps on improving it. Perfect for a group getaway.Already hoping to plan another getaway here soon. Owner makes the actually rental experience hassle free. We rented this great home for the Christmas weekend with a few of my friends. We had such a great time! The home is great and very cozy. We enjoyed the hot tube. I look forward to renting the same home next winter!! What a great house and an excellent set up. James went above and beyond in coordinating ahead of time and in setting things up. It's a great house with the hot tub right out back, beautiful bedrooms, a kitchen plenty big enough for six and an entertainment system to die for. Superb. house was beautiful it was a great weekend away and would be doing again soon It was great place for our family to relax and reconnect. The living room and kitchen are really spacious and well-equipped. We all took turns cooking and in some cases four of us in the kitchen at once and did not bump into each other. There were lots of games and the big screen was great for WII. James (the owner) was so hospitable and friendly. He went way out of his way to acomodate us. We have a great time in the house,you can find everything you need.It,s a very comfortable house and the owner very nice person.Thank you very much James. We rented it for three friends and families with kids. The whole weekend was very relaxing. The place is beautiful. The house is very well maintained. Kitchen is very spacious. It's not only great to cook in, but also to chat with all friends sitting in a big dining table. The family room is good. We enjoyed the hottub outside every evening during our stay. On top of everything the owner, Jim, is absolutely great!! Everything came at a very reasonable price. We would love to go back in winter if available. It's a perfect place to plan for holidays. The amenities offered by the owner, who is a truly wonderful and caring individual, are enough to keep yourself entertained for days without getting bored. Kitchen was fully loaded and we had lots of fun with the hot-tub. We made a trip for a long weekend with 2 other families and we never found a reason to step out. We had one of the best Thanksgiving weekend ast this place. It was perfect in every sense. Kitchen, Entertainment Systems, Big Screen movies, Hottub everything was fantastic. Kids had a gala time. Thanks to James(owner) who stuffed so much toys for the kids. We would love to go back to the same place. Just one quick note : Dont miss out the opportunity to sit in the openair hottub (with ambience lighting) with a glass of champagne and watch the bright moon slowly moving behind the blackhead mountain on a starry night. Put off all the lights and you will be in a different world altogether. It was indeed an awesome experience. We had a truly wonderful time at the house - couldn't have been better. And for such a reasonable price! The house was very clean and the kitchen was great to cook in. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the projector. There are beautiful hiking trails nearby (a 20min drive away) with waterfalls and spectacular views. It was such a great escape from the city. Can't wait to plan another stay here! My husband and I went to this place for columbus Day weekend meeting up with family. We had a wonderful time. The house was beautifully decorated, the color of the foliage was beautiful, the hot tub was so romantic. We went in the hot tub at night and looked at the stars. We also enjoyed the hiking trail that was close by. The water falls were scenic. The owner was extremely friendly. He certainly made our stay enjoyable. We really recommend it and would love to go back. Our group of 10 people rented this property for 3 weeks and 4days in August and we had a blast. Plenty of room for our group. So much for a very reasonable price! The owner really knows how to spoil renters with every amenity generously supplied. It was perfect. But no one told you about the hiking trails close by with water falls and covered bridge(Winter Clove Inn), the great little restaurant/bakery-Hartmans, Massamans' Restaurant within walking distance and the quaint town of Hudson and very good food (Mexican Radio & Vico Restaurants on Warren Street). Hudson is across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge take 23, it is about 25-30 minutes. The house, area and owner are Fantastic! We are heading back at the end of the month! We really had a great time this summer, vacationing in your Round Top, New York house. My wife Esther and I, and the kids really enjoyed the stay. Starting with your house, The house is a very comfortable house located on a private quiet road. The house is kept very clean and well sophisticated, central air with a nice newly renovated kitchen equipped with high end appliances. A real Gem! Your hospitality was great and so your responsibility. Any problem we may have, you were there to assist. The kids really had a great time and enjoyed every minute of our stay (not to forget the fish tank), and all because of you, who made it happen and wasn’t expensive too. We arrived from Florence, Italy after a few days visiting New York, to have some relax with our two sons (12 and 4 years old). We all (and especially the kids) had a great time, with a lot of fun with the hot tub, the enormous screen and the fabulous atmosphere around. We would like to strongly recommend the Glorisoso's house experience to small and larger families. Last but not least, in the house on the other side of the road Anthony (Jim's brother) lives, who is the one of the most helpful, enjoyable and nice person I met in my life. We rented this place for the long weekend and had a blast! It has a very comfortable living room area with big LCD and even bigger motorized movie screen and great sound system (grab a few of your favorite DVDs and watch them the way God intended - on a big, I mean, really big screen:). The kitchen appliances are top notched. The property also sports a porch and a huge outdoor jakuzi. First thing my kid did. though, was pushed a wrong button on the master remote, and it's the lights out, no more TV (keep your kids away from the remote - you've been warned!:), and Jim, the owner, was so nice - he came over the next day from far away and fixed it! Granted, there's not too much to do in the Catskills this time of the year, but we enjoyed the Bailwick petting zoo, the Howe Caverns, and just sitting on the porch in peace and quiet, listening to the stream running through the backyard was pretty nice too. We'll most certainly book again in the summer when the water park is open. Thanks, Jim. As the other reviews say, this house is a cozy, confortable, and enjoyable establishment. Ski resorts and a shopping center are close by and you can walk out of the house to the trail up to Blackhead. The TVs are flat and large, the hot tub is hot and bubbling, the sofas are large and comfy, the kitchen is sleek and modern, and the owner is friendly and easy to deal with. Highly recommended. Staying at Blackhead Mountain in James Glorioso's home made our Christmas at home in the Catskill's a treat! The house was decorated for the holidays with a REAL tree and tons of lights!!! Our stay was delightful with Many amenities--not to mention the pillowtop beds, plasma TV's, awesome kitchen, oversized sofas, hot tub, grill, great deck!! The Maasman's restaurant and pub is a place we will definitely eat at whenever we return to the area--cozy ambience and within easy walking distance! Overall, a fantastic experience! Spending New Years in this house was the best week off we've had so far. The house is a cozy, confortable, and enjoyable establishment. Entails all of the great necessaties described and more. Ski resorts and a shopping center are close by. Definetly recommend for people who are interested in spending some time away in the mountains. There is no "roughing it" here - all the amenities are there, including a beautiful kitchen, state of the art appliances, new hot tub,the latest in electronics,loads of TV stations on large screen TV's, a pretty setting in the woods, and next door to a golf course and restaurant. The owner was easy to deal with, and very helpful. All in all, great value for the money.!! We had a great time ! This place has it all. Flat screen TV's, big kitchen with top of the line appliances, great outdoor barbecue, plenty of land. The golf course is a 2 minute walk, which has a great bar and restaurant. At this price, it's a a steal. We'll be back again next year for sure !!
