Sunset Beach is a quiet restful place and a wonderful location to experience Kindred Spirit. Nevertheless, our perception of the unit from the ad did not meet with reality. It was three flights up in a rather poor section of the village on a very busy corner and therefore quite noisy. It felt small and cigarette smoke seeped in from the surrounding units. The building was also being renovated on the landings, the pool was being repaired and the outside walls were being repaired. The pillows on the bed filled much of the storage space in the unit so the owner said we could put our stuff on the balcony. There was no WiFi and the other tenants needed to go to the parking lot for better cell phone reception. The cooking utensils were very poor, scarce and we where told that any cooking residue in the oven would cost us a $75.00 cleaning fee. We did no use the dishwasher because it seemed quite worn and perhaps a risky venture. The chairs on the balcony were too rusty to sit on and we purchased our own lawn chairs. The shower mechanism was dangerous and a person could easily be burned if they were not careful. So the unit was well below our expectations and we did not feel comfortable given the threat of extra fees if the unit was not in perfect condition upon leaving. We wish we had waited to rent until we arrived because we could have rented a much better unit at one of the local resorts [e.g. Brunswick].

We absolutely adored this cozy Love Nest. It was amazing. We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it was Unforgettable. We can't wait to visit again.
