Description of the Calder vacation cottage rental

Secluded lodge, offers top notch accomodations to get away from it all and experience nature at it's best with the recreational opportunities of the St. Joe River basin. Ten steps to Trout Creek a tributary of the Saint Joe, fish it down a couple hundred yards to the Joe. Blue Ribbon trout fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, and opportunities to see and hunt Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail, Bear, Cougar and more. This property is well equiped so all you need to bring is you, your food and the recreational equipment you choose. The immediate area around the property is fenced and gated for children. Pets can be arranged under special request, we smoke on the porch. There is a large, covered front porch, with gas grill, a picnic shelter and a fire pit for those evening camp fires.

Area Information

Large tracts of wilderness, national forests, easily accessable timber company property, game lands, mountains, meadows, rivers and creeks. About 18 miles east of St. Maries and a few miles west of Calder. Calder is a small community with a great country store / restaurant / bar, all attached to the post office.

AWESOME, Secluded cabin

I was hopeing for a secluded cabin close to some fishing and WOW did I get it! This place is so nice and so well kept you would think it was lived in. All updated appliances including washer and dryer. One neighbor, never to be seen. Otherwise totally on your own. 20- 30 minutes from nearest full service town. Stream for Fly fishing right off back yard. Fenced in back yard and well kept all around. The owners are easy to work with and love to share what they have with respectful renters. A+ in all catagories!!!
