A small two story modern vacation home on Lake Superior, located on the west shore of the Keweenaw Peninsula. This home is minutes from supplies in Calumet, minutes from the airport with multi fiight service, 12 miles from shopping in Houghton Hancock. There are natural wood floors and paneling, three walls of windows and wooded views. There is a one bedroom,kitchen, wood burning fireplace/stove on the second floor, a loft with DVD and TV. There is a one bedroom double bed efficiency on the first floor, set up for combined or private use with kitchenette, gas fireplace/stove,washer and dryer. The fire pit on the bluff looks west. The mostly sand and some stone beach is accessible using neighbors stairs.There are spectacular sun sets. There is ample parking, a full service RV hookup, and a sand badminton/volley ball court. The home is 1.3 miles from McLain State Campground. McLain has a group cabin and several rustic cabins on the lake.

Copper Harbor with bicycling, kayak rental, black fly golf course, light house tours is 45 miles. 2 golf courses+/- 12 miles. Keweenaw Peninsula Historic National park. Mine tours, University town, lots of eats and lots of water for boating, fishing, and body surfing. Portage Lake beaches are suitable for swimming July-August. Lake Superior on a west wind rough day will get to 71 in the surf mid July to mid August. Low traffic area, safe for biking, 203 has paved shoulders. Rentals are available for ATV and Watercraft.
