Great Family Getaway

We had the pleasure of staying at Captain Quarters for our annual family weekend. We have been staying in the Cambridge area for the past several years and by far, this was the BEST house we have stayed in. This home was not only perfect for the amount of people we had (there was 21 one of us) EVERYONE had a bed to sleep in, The property was great as well, playing basketball, football and the being able to sit out on porch and watch the most incredible sunsets.

Dream Vacation Home

Wow!! What a wonderful vacation home!!! It has something for everyone; adults and children. What made it special for me was the location and layout. I immediately went into RELAX mode. Want to do this again and again. Oh, that's right, my sister booked us for the summer!!! Yeah!!!

Best Vacation Ever!

We have been vacationing on the easter shore 7 years in a row and each year we would try a different house/location. NO MORE. We will only be staying at "The Captains Quarters" from here on out. The other six homes we have stayed in do not even come close to yours. The home had everything we needed for a week of fun and sun on the chesapeake. I cant thank you enough for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

Great Times

August 7, 2011

Our family spent a wonderful week at Captains Quarters and there were many tears when it came time to pack up and leave. Our oldest member was 85 yrs and youngest was 4 months. The top floor was great for all the pump up beds in all the window dormers, it was like extra bedrooms and one big camp out for all the cousins. The pool was an extra treat and all got in. The yard was great for all the games we had planned, and the deck to the river was great for easy access to the jet ski that we had brought along. Only one thing, we felt a ladder is needed on the dock for climbing in and out of the water. But YES we will come back there some day again.

We have added a large outdoor Hot Tub, air hockey table, great charcoal grilles and a screened gazebo overlooking the water which fits 12 people.

Great Getaway - Wonderful Place

My siblings and I held our parent's 50th wedding anniversary get-a-way weekend at Captain's Quarters and had a great time. The place has a wonderful layout, very nice bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of places for all ages to sit, play and sleep. The 3rd floor was a big hit with the teenage grandkids too! The only reason I didn't give 5+ stars is that the kitchen could have been a little better equiped (we had to buy a pitcher and a can opener) and the utensils, etc., were just so-so. Unfortunately our timing wasn't so good because we stayed there during the awful tornado weekend that included intense flooding, but the house withstood it all. We watched the storm roll in on the bay and it was unbelievable. Also, the property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. He came by to check on everything after the storm on his day off. We would love to come back in the warmer weather and enjoy the pool and the bay too. We highly recommend this place as well as the property management team - Eastern Shore Vacations. They were super. Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us!!
