Description of the Camden vacation cottage rental

This lovely lakeside cottage is 15 feet from the water's edge on 265 acre Hobbs Pond. The cottage is surrounded by a generous lawn and garden and faces west across the lake with beautiful sunsets. There is a float for swimming and boating, and the fishing is good. Sail boat and kayaks are provided. The cottage was built in the 1920's, with wood panelling, a fireplace, and a glassed-in porch with a double bed. There is an outdoor fireplace for cookouts. There is a little sandy beach that is perfect for small children.



The loons call in the evening. Fireflies appear as the sunset fades. It is a truly peaceful place.

Area Description

Its a five minute bike ride to the friendly Hope General Store, which sells esentials,sandwhiches and an extroadinary variety of beer. Camden Village, with restaurants and its famous harbor and schooners is 10 minutes away.
For ocean swimming and playing in the sand, Lincolnville Beach is 20 min. There are miles of excellent hiking trails in the Camden Hills State park and surrounding countryside, with spectacular ocean views.
