Vacation Rental Description

Our cottage is located on a quiet street in the quaint Village of Welshpool. This is your get-away from all the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Relax and enjoy the magnificent sunrises & sunsets and the peace & quiet of this little village. You can see the Bay of Fundy from our front porch and the Welshpool wharf is only a 5-minute walk away, where you can fish to your hearts content. It is an older cottage, which is very comfortable and homey. We have a large yard where you can catch some sun, or shade under a huge 100-year-old maple tree, that has a tire swing for the kids to enjoy.

Area Description

Explore the many trails on the island, go whale watching, fishing, sailing, kayaking or golfing, or just walk along the many quiet, beautiful beaches. Several of these trails & beaches have BBQ pits and picnic facilities available. Check out the famous Head Harbour Lighthouse on Campobello, or the West Quoddy Lighthouse across the border in Lubec, Maine, the most easternly point in the US. We are steps away from the Public Library & Museum which boasts ever-changing displays such as marine artifacts, war memorials, and Island memorabilia. You'll be within walking distance from the original site of the Owen Settlement, the wharf, and the car ferry that crosses to Deer Island where you can see the famous "Old Sow" whirlpool. President Roosevelt's Historic Cottage & Park; the Herring Cove Golf Course & Park with a mile long pebble & sandy beach are all nearby along with Gift shops & take-out restaurants specializing in seafood.
