Or enjoy the same lake that is across from ASPENWOODS.

**ASPENWOODS 5-6 miles away from Mtn, in the middle of the Valley, across the road from a private lake.
Is a short walk to the mountain (slopes)important? Or, would you rather be 5m. away and save money in winter

we have a key safe at our homes for leisurely arrival. Our Guests like to come after work or school. Sit in the hot tub, and be there the next morning, ready to enjoy your vacation beginning
with breakfast. With the key is AT THE HOUSE, SECURELY,WAITING FOR YOU, that is possible. And no big discussions on who is carrying the key, during your stay!

Both of our homes have a floor to ceiling stone Fireplace;free wood;a private master suite, AND a Hottub (that you don't pay extra for)

Escape the heat of Summer (temperatures rarely exceed the mid 80's!) and enjoy a broad spectrum of activities in the National Forest with epic mountain bike trails or gentle and scenic rail/trails! Visit some of the east's wildest areas in two Federal Wilderness Areas or the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Your family can play in our State Parks with trails, golf, scenic lift rides, nature hikes, kids activities, swimming, and much more!

Your family will enjoy our quaint mountain towns and shop or browse in our many antique, gift, and specialty shops or enjoy some fairs and festivals. Around the Fourth of July, you can enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. Visit Blackwater Falls, one of West Virginia's most photographed sites.
Canaan is a 4 season vacation spot. Winter averages over 150 inches of snow. Makes for a spectacular spring. No need for AC because humidity is typically no existent. Cool mountain beezes offer relief from the summer heat while still making swimming in our private lake refreshing. And FALL is undescribable. You may never se a more spectacular display of colors anywhere!!

Whether there is snow or not outside your window, I don't know but Canaan is approaching 150" of snow so far, a winter paradise for sure
