Description of the Canoa Quebrada vacation home rental

This private cottage style home is located on a secluded 7000 square meter property (2 acres approx.)Access to the property is through an electric gate. The property is enclosed by 3 meter high (10 foot) high walls.

The gardens are landscaped with flowering trees and palm trees. There is also a large wooded area with mature cashew trees. The cashew trees are lit at night with spotlights that make for an exciting ambiance.

The single floor main house features 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, a living room, a dining room, an American style kitchen and a den/office area.

The house underwent major construction and renovations 2007 with brand new tile floors throughout, new bathrooms with new fixtures, a new fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and new appliances. At this time the pool was also built. The house was also completely and tastefully decorated with all new furniture and decorations.

Outside you will find covered verandas around the house with various sitting areas. The verandas are ideal to lounge around in a hammock or entertain friends overlooking the pool and gardens.

There is also a large tiled in-ground pool of 16 x 6 Metres. (50'0" x 20'0")with an outdoor shower.

There is a caretaker, Paolo, who resides in a separate house, away from the main house on the property with his wife and 2 kids. The caretaker's house was also newly built in 2007. Paolo takes care of the property, the gardens and the pool.

Due to its secure nature, this property is ideally suited for families or couples who want a relaxing private vacation or spend the cold winter months in a tropical environment.

The house is located approximately 2 miles (3.5 KM) from the picturesque and famous village of Canoa Quebrada.

Historically Canoa Quebrada was a small coastal fishing settlement. Nowadays, Canoa Quebrada is a well-known tourist village with visitors from all over the world. The village has a good variety of local and international cuisine, bars and clubs. At night the village transforms into a cosy party town, with a mixture of Brazilian and International rythms, drawing people from all over the region, especially on weekends. Canoa Quebrada is gay friendly.

A visit to Canoa is a highlight of any visit to Brazil. Whether you choose lazy days on the beach at the beach barracas, or a more active day, either out on the sea in a traditional fishing jangada, or taking a tour on a beach buggy along the coast and into the dunes and freshwater lakes.

For the more adventurous visitors, there are further activities such as para-sailing, kite-surfing, windsurfing, sandboarding and moto-cross.

The climate is semi-arrid with an average temperature of 28 degrees Celcius (85 degrees Fahrenheit)with cooling trade winds from the ocean.

Canoa Quebrada is located approximately 160 kilometers (100 miles) South of the City of Fortaleza. (Population of 3 million approx.) Fortaleza has an international airport that is serviced by Domestic and International airlines. There are direct connections from a number of European cities and since December 2008 there is a direct connection from Atlanta, 4 times a week, serviced by Delta Airlines.

Please note that Brazil requires a Tourist Visa for visitors with US and Canadian passports. This visa is not required for visitors with EU passports. Please check with your local Brazilian Consulate about these requirements.

• Other Fees: Cleaning is included twice a week. Should you require additional cleaning or services, they can be arranged with the caretaker for an additional fee.
