Description of the Canyon Lake vacation home rental

HOLIDAY WEEKENDS - 3 night minimum - $480 per night.

Come enjoy your family reunion in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. This spacious, renovated, 2636 sq.ft. 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home has luxury leather furnishings.

Experience the warm friendly Texans, famous Texas history, unique cuisines, music and wildlife in this great centrally located area of Texas Hill Country. Canyon Lake is a 6 X 1.5 mile clear lake with a limestone bottom, marinas with sailboat and power boat rentals and lots of great fishing.

The spacious downstairs master bedroom has a king size bed and cable TV. Attached is the large master bath with a garden tub/shower, double sink vanity and 2 walk-in closets.

The upstairs 3 bedrooms have queen beds and a large full bath with tub/shower and double sink vanity. There is also a small cable TV and music system. There is a door off the hall to the large covered, screened deck where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the lake.

This home has 2 separate air conditioning systems for controlled comfort on each level. All the fully carpeted bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, and family room have ceiling fans including the large upstairs and downstairs decks.

The big country kitchen includes dishwasher, Jenn-Aire stove top, double oven, microwave and refrigerator/freezer with filtered water and ice in the door. There is a cozy breakfast nook for early morning coffee and an additional TV for the cook.

Just off the kitchen is the laundry room with a large capacity washer & dryer and a second refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. This home has a water softening system.

The formal dining room has a long family table seats 8. The spacious side yard is completely enclosed with deer fencing.

The family room is a second seating area with Italian leather sofa, cable TV, music system and 4 TV tables.

The large living room has a floor to vaulted ceiling fireplace (cord wood in the fenced yard) surrounded by 2 Italian leather sofas and chair. There is a door from this room to the covered downstairs deck.

There is a large wood deck surrounding a giant oak tree off the kitchen for convenient Bar-B-Queing in the spacious side yard.

This lovely home is located in a wilderness friendly neighborhood, 1/4 mile from the lake and a boat ramp on the south shore of Canyon Lake. NOTE: Our house is NOT positioned correctly using Live Local, or other well known Internet mapping services. There is local grocery shopping, fast food restaurants and the famous Texas burgers at the Startzville café.

Area Description

You are 25 minutes from San Antonio airport, 45 minutes from Austin, ''Music City USA''. New Braunfels, known for river tubing and the famous Schlitterbahn water theme park and Gruene for antiquing and nightlife are 20 minutes away. San Marcos with a huge outlet mall is 30 minutes away, towards Austin. Wimberley is about 30 minutes north and is known for antiquing, arts and crafts fairs and the famous "Blue Hole".

The gathering place was great! Wish it was closer to the Guadalupe! Long drive to access the river and other area attractions! Lots of deer! Would recommended to others! Great overall!
