Surrounded by native landscaping, Villa Makani (mah-kah'-nee) provides water and garden views from inside the villa. Even when it is warm, the breezes of Cape Coral are reminiscent of the Hawaiian trade winds. Makani is Hawaiian for breeze and a reminder of gentle breezes taking away the cares of everyday life.

Villa Makani has everything needed for your stay in Cape Coral. Enjoy nightly barbecues on the covered lanai. The lanai adjoins your private screened pool where you can swim in water set to the perfect temperature. The large, quiet, canal behind the property is your view from the pool area. A private dock includes electricity and running water. The canal provides boat access to the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico.

Villa Makani is perfect for couples or families wanting to create lasting memories of their escape from daily life.

Area Information

For those who like to venture out, Villa Makani is in a desirable section of Cape Coral and close to a variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment, including cruises and fishing charters.

The Villa is near the Veteran’s Memorial (or Midpoint) Bridge to Fort Myers. Not only is Fort Myers the location of the spring training camp of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, it has beaches, restaurants, entertainment, and more. One of the more popular historical attractions is the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, which includes their homes, gardens, lab, and museum.

Sanibel Island is approximately a half hour drive and Captiva Island and Naples are approximately an hour drive from Villa Makani.

Eco-tourism
In addition, within walking distance of Villa Makani is the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve. There are over 6,000 feet of nature trails, picnic areas, and (seasonal) kayak rentals.

Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve is the second largest preserved green space in Cape Coral. Four Mile Cove / “Eco Park” is a brackish water wetland area where potential wildlife sightings include, among others, eagles, ibis, herons, other wading & migratory birds, and raccoons.

Golf & miniature golf
For golfers who enjoy relaxing in award-winning rich natural surroundings with contoured greens, Cape Coral or Fort Myers has the course of your choice.

Children and those who like shorter challenges, various miniature golf courses are available in both Cape Coral and surrounding areas.

The accommodations were perfect, and the home is beautifully decorated. The floor plan is spacious, with 4 bedrooms, enough room for my sister to visit from Jacksonville. We really enjoyed the screened in pool and lanai both during the day and evenings. The kitchen and living area are open and great for entertaining. The state of the art entertainment center was awesome.

The location is great. The supermarket is within walking distance, and shopping, restaurants, attractions and beaches just a short distance away.

This was our first visit to Cape Coral, and we were able to find places to go and things to do using a book of attractions put together by the owners, and updated by other guests. We visited the Eco Park around the corner, went bowling, and of course visited the beaches.

The owners made sure that everything was perfect for our visit, and would have controlled the weather if in their power. The few afternoons that it rained, my son taught his girlfriend how to play chess, we watched movies on the huge flat screen TV, and played board games.

This was truly one of the best vacations we've had.
