Dolphins Dance townhouse is located in the gated Barrier Dunes complex which is on the beach on Cape San Blas and very close to the St. Joe's Peninsula state park entrance. The townhouse has a gulf view and is only 1 minute from the beach and equally close to both outdoor pools, the tennis courts and the playground. The pool near the tennis courts is now heated! It is one of the most private townhouses in the complex, being right on a small lake which has fish, turtles and other wildlife. From the two back decks, one of which is covered, you view the lake and from the front balcony you see the ocean. Our home is very well appointed and equipped and it was built in 2001. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, pots and pans. There are three TV's, one in the living room and one in each bedroom. The living room TV has a VCR and DVD player and the master bedroom has a VHS player with the second bedroom having a DVD player. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and en suite full bathrooms. The living room entertainment unit has a CD player and there is a selection of CD's, DVD and VHS movies, books and children's games. There are three decks in the unit, two very private ones facing the lake and a smaller front balcony off the upstairs master bedroom. The unit comes equipped with beach chairs and toys. The unit also has room to park three cars or a two cars and a boat. The living room is super comfortable with a lovely chaise lounge and matching sofa. The dining room has a large dining room table which seats six. There is also a breakfast bar with two chairs. The living room also has a ceiling fan, as does the covered back just off the living room. This deck also has a gas Bar-B-Q. Beach chairs, an umbrella and toys are of course provided. I really can't think of anything you will be missing by staying at Dolphins Dance!

Cape San Blas in Florida's Panhandle is an uncrowded, pristine white sand beach stretching for miles. This beach has been rated number 1 in the country by Dr. Stephen Leatherman in 2002 and the most popular beach for dogs in 2006! Between the Cape and the mainland is a beautiful bay with excellent fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities. Nearby are two interesting towns, Port St. Joe and Apalachicola with great dining and shopping possibilities. The St. Joseph Peninsula State Park right next door offers many opportunities to hike, bicycle, nature and bird watch, walk the beach, swim, and picnic. The area is largely unspoiled but accessible. Nearby you will find scuba diving, canoe and kayak rentals, deep sea fishing, whale watching, golfing and other fun things to do. The state park also has a boat launch - very close to Dolphins Dance
This area is referred to as Florida's Forgotten Coast, but once you stay here, you will never forget it. Stay at Dolphins Dance for the vacation of a lifetime!

There are two pools on site. One of the pools is located directly on the beach and it has a lovely deck with loungers, chairs and tables and a superb view of the gulf. This is where many people hang out to watch the sunset and chat with other guests. There is also a gazebo a few steps away - great for ocean side picnics. The community is gated for security, and the unit has parking for up to 3 cars or a car and a boat. You can enjoy horseback riding on the beach - the horses are brought to Salinas Park on the Cape. Visit Port St. Joe for golf, sailing, boating, boat cruises, sport fishing, canoing kayaking. Or you might want to enjoy a relaxing massage right in the townhouse after your busy day! The towns of Apalachicola and Port St. Joe are charming and have many local (not chain) restaurants that specialize in fresh seafood. Shopping is fun too with many local antique shops. I have stocked Dolphins dance with lots of restaurant menus and brochures on things to see and do in the area. There isn't much traffic around the area, so you'll find exploring enjoyable and hassle free.

- Lodging Tax: 11%
- Deposits: $300 US due at booking. This amount will be refunded after check out if all checkout policies have been followed and there is no damage to the unit.
Half the rental amount due 60 days prior to arrival.
Full payment due 30 days prior to arrival. On long term rentals, half is due 90 days prior and the other half is due 60 days prior.
- Other Fees: Cleaning fee of $85. Cleaning fee of at least $125 for stays one month or longer.
Pet fees apply and are based on the number and kinds of pets, but are typically $75 per pet for a one week stay. Cats are welcome as well as dogs!

Please forgive my taking so long to get in touch--so much to catch up on after a vacation! We had the most wonderful time at dolphins dance!!!! It was even nicer than we expected. We especially enjoyed moving from space to space in the house and on the different balconies depending on whether we were star-gazing, birdwatching, sunset over the gulf watching, etc. We even enjoyed sitting on the wonderful covered lakeside porch watching kids learn to fish! It was the most serene vacation I think I've ever had. Everything in the condo was there to make us comfortable and relaxed--the kitchen had everything we needed and the sofa and chaise in the living room were soooo comfortable to lounge on.
We really appreciated the privacy of the unit too.
The beach is the most beautiful and deserted beach I've seen in the U.S.
People were so friendly to our dogs! The dog stations around the property made it easy for all the dog lovers to clean up after their pets--making the whole environment of the development much friendlier for walkers.
We loved it so much! We'd really like to come back and stay at your place again--as soon as possible.
By the way, we did see a dolphin!

My family and I stayed at Dolphins Dance in September and had a wonderful time! The townhouse was very clean and cozy, and pet and family oriented. Dolphins Dance had an outside shower which was very convenient. The townhouse was right on the lake and only a few minutes' walk from the beach and pool.
The Barrier Dunes complex was right on the Gulf of Mexico and was quiet, clean and safe. We enjoyed seeing the dogs and families playing on the beach. The pool and grounds were very nice and the pet stations were a nice touch.
We were able to launch our boat at the St. Joseph's National Park, which was less than a mile away from the townhouse. We also explored St. Vincent island by boat, and ate a wonderful dinner at the Marina in Port St. Joe. The entire area is teeming with wildlife and is a must see.
With a boat launch nearby it is easy to enjoy the gulf offshore of Cape San Blas, Florida
We look forward to visiting Cape San Blas and staying at Dolphins Dance again soon.
