"Home By The Sea" is a charming Gulfview well-appointed home with 'beach' colors throughout, artwork, and new furnishings. The lower level has bright bamboo wood flooring. The living area has Plantation shutters, a comfortable Queen sofa bed, oversized chair sleeper and new twin roll away. The large kitchen has upscale appliances and is well stocked with everything one could want to prepare great meals.
Relax as you watch the sunset on the large screened porch with Adirondack chairs, ceiling fan, and picnic table. Enjoy the fantastic gulf view and sounds of the ocean. It is only 86 steps from the porch to the community boardwalk and beach. A new deck is located underneath facing the Gulf with porch swing and park type

We so enjoyed our week at "Home By The Sea"! We had everything we needed inside and outside. The place was so beautifully decorated,too. The next time we come to Cape San Blas, this is where we want to stay.
This was our second time to stay at "home by the sea". These folks have taken such good care of the place. I've had a back surgery and a neck surgery and require a very good bed at night. The beds at "home by the sea" are outstanding. We were close enough to the beach that I could carry anything we wanted out there without any issues. The beach restoration project has improved an already great beach. You get the sense that you are truly in someone's home and not in a rental while at home by the sea. As long as Al and Susan are renting, we'll only use their place as our retreat from work and the "real world". I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay at the Cape.
From start to finish every aspect of staying with at the Kite's Home by the Sea at Cape San Blas was a pleasure. When inquiring about the rental the Kites were extremely helpful with all of our questions about their home and the Cape area.
There are several things that are important to us when we are traveling. We want a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay. Home by the Sea was all of this. The home is beautiful with fun ocean decor, beds are extremely comfortable, well stocked kitchen, plush linens and towels. The Kites made all of their belongings accessible to us including bikes, beach chairs, and fishing equipment.
We didn't have to wonder what we were going to do or see while we were there. The Kites gave us so many suggestions about places to visit or even where to buy fresh fish. Actually, all a person needs is access to their beautiful beaches and you don't need anything else. My husband loved fishing from the beach. The views of sunsets and sunrises are unbelievable!
We spent January and February 2009 at "Home by the Sea" and would truly recommend it to those who enjoy a quiet less crowded place to spend the winter. The Kite's have done a terrific job of decorating to create the "feel" of the beach from the inside out. They were very attentive to our needs and often provided suggestions of things that were coming up on the Cape that we might enjoy doing. For the retired military Snowbirds,Cape San Blas is a great place to stay. Tyndall AFB is about 60 miles away and shopping the Commissary is easy and well worth the drive. We are sure you will be happy with your decision to winter at 'Home by the Sea". We were homesick for the beach as soon as we got home!
Everything was so great. We had everything you could imagine. The home is so comfortable and inviting,I just want to go back as soon as we can. Our family rode bikes, walked on the beach, ate lots of good seafood and rested so well.

The house lacks for nothing: incredible views of the Gulf and beaches, fully stocked kitchen, amazingly comfortable beds, movies, games....The Kite Family have truly thought of everything to make your vacation incredible. We especially are thankful to them for all their wonderful suggestions on things to do in the area. Our stay in Home by the Sea was FANTASTIC. The home was exactly what the photos promised. The atmosphere was relaxing and our children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There is no doubt that when we decide to rent on the Cape again, we will give the Kites a call. They are wonderful renters and made sure that our stay was a pleasent one. The beds were so comfortable we really hated to leave. Yes there are some cheaper rentals in the area, but you get what you pay for. This place was wonderful. My family enjoyed everything about our stay. The beds are upgrades from what you would expect and the place is supper quiet. As long as I can afford it, this will be my vacation destination. I know most people want to be right on the Gulf. I was a little concerned about how far we would be from the beach. Trust me, it's very close. You can carry any beach stuff easily from the house to the beach. This is the place my family has been looking for. This was the best vacation ever.

Wow, Wow, and Wow is all we can say. This house is wonderful. Everything was just awesome. The Kite family has done a wonderful job on this home. Everything we needed was there. The views were awesome from Ocean to Bay. The king size beds up stairs were just fabulous. We were expecting our vacation to be good, but it was way far better than just good, it was awesome. We will be going back.
