Description of the Carlsbad vacation home rental

Donna's Carlsbad Beach House offers fabulous panoramic ocean views, an enclosed yard, and a short walk to the sandy beach in Carlsbad.

It has two bedrooms, one full bath, a small but complete kitchen, laundry facilities, and off-street parking. Wireless internet access is included.

The kitchen, dining area, and living room look out to the ocean, and you can also see a bit of the ocean from one of the bedrooms.

The house is fully equipped in every respect, and features a large flat panel TV, an electric fireplace, and comfortable beds. There is a fenced front yard with magnificent ocean views, and a private enclosed back patio area.

It is located in a safe neighborhood, on a cul-de-sac. The beach is one block away, with a beautiful lagoon inlet in between. To get to the beach you can walk along an easy scenic trail bordering the lagoon. The walk is about 1 1/2 blocks.

Area Description

Donna's Carlsbad Beach House is nestled in a small residential enclave of private homes, so you can enjoy greater privacy, safety and a more relaxing atmosphere, yet be close to everything!

... but it is just 1 mile from the center of Carlsbad's "Village" area which bustles with visitors to the many restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and small shops located there. Also in the Village is the Coaster Train. Taking the Coaster to San Diego is relaxing and fun.

The beach is a short walk away -- about 1 1/2 blocks. It is a sandy beach, with lifeguards (summer only) restrooms, and showers.

Waterskiing, jetskiing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing are all available at the nearby lagoon. Whale watching, and deepsea fishing excursion depart from Oceanside Harbor, six miles away.

Carlsbad Premium Outlets shopping center and Legoland theme park are both about 5 minutes away.

SeaWorld and the San Diego airport are about 35 minutes by car, and all the sights of San Diego and the Zoo are about 45 minutes. Disneyland is about 45 minutes to the north.

If you want fancy features, this divine house is not for you. If you want a charming, comfortable rental that feels as if it is a true home: you've found a winner. Donna's cottage has spectacular ocean views from large picture windows in kitchen, dining, and living areas. Outdoors, you can sit on the edge of the sea and not even bother to walk across the sand. The beds are comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the furnishing is very comfortable. I hate to share my enthusiasm: we want this home to be available when we come to San Diego again.
