Description of the Carlsbad vacation townhouse rental

Furnished 1,842 SF 3 bedroom townhouse with a 2 car attached garage. Less than one mile east of Carlsbad State Beach at Tamarack and just steps away from Agua Hedionda Lagoon where you will find California Watersports Marina. On the property you will find a private pool, jacuzzi, grass valleyball and bocce ball court. Grocery store and strip mall within walking distance right around the corner.

Just blocks from Tamarack State Beach with its four mile beach and jogging trails (one high on the bluffs and another and down at the beach), is popular for day use and BBQs. It's also close to Carlsbad Village (the downtown area) on the top of the bluffs where you can grab something to eat. The beach is at the foot of Tamarack Avenue (head west from the I-5 exit).On dry sand you'll see volleyball, horseshoes, picnicing, and sunbathing.

All over you see groups of people under the shade of umbrellas or tarps barbequeing, picnicing, or just relaxing. On the walkway, you'll see skaters, roller-bladers, joggers, and walkers, with or without their children, dogs, or friends.

You almost always find surfers paddling out to where the waves break, swimmers and boogie boarders and sometimes skin divers, boats or kayaks. The golden sun reflecting on the shimmering waves over the Pacific Ocean is always pretty to photograph or to watch. If you're lucky you'll see the "green flash" just after the sun sets. It's a rare sight to see. Your best luck is on a clear, windy day.

Located off Interstate 5 freeway at Tamarack, about 35 miles north of San Diego and 60 miles south of Disneyland.

Want to see San Diego, don't drive, take the North County Transit Coaster train from Carlsbad Village to San Diego's Sante Fe Depot. From there you can you can walk, cab or electic car to the Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza, Petco Park, Sea Port Village, Convention Center and many more places.
