The best beach vacation I have in years!!!

Diane & Bob were the best. We got there early and had lunch and when we got to the house Diane as waiting for us. Got check in and kept on vacationing. Apartment was perfect and pool was heavenly. On of the most fun things we did was feed the cats especially BB. We have several cats and it made us miss them less because BB was always ready to share a meal with us. We loved it. Would definetely would go back, several times a year if we can, that is how much fun we had. I love th kitchen, we in facto only ate out twice because we used the grill provided. Again, LOVED it, LOVEDI it, LOVED it. Did I mention that we LOVED it. Thanks again for having us and we will be back soon. Mike and Melody

This rental was absolutely perfect for my partner and I. We were only going to be at Carolina Beach for 2 days, and wanted something other than those sleezy hotels right by the water. This rental is cute, updated, CLEAN, air conditioned, and perfect for 2 people (3 if one sleeps on the couch). The rental owners live above, stay out of your way, but are more than willing to help, answer your questions, and give you some prime recommendations on local eats and the best beach spots. The ad says it's within walking distance to the beach, and that's true, but they were able to direct us to a part of the beach that's just a few minutes drive away, and way cleaner and less congested and had public parking. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect start to a perfect vacation

My husband and I had a ten day vacation that started here in Carolina beach. We worked our way down the coast all the way to Hunting Island, stopping at several places along the way. This cozy little apartment was our favorite stop. It was colorful and very beachy with all the things we needed to make us feel at home. We were able to cook there if we wanted or walk to any of the many restaurants or pubs. The beach is nice and close enough to walk to. Diane and Bobby were very hospitable and available to answer any questions about th area. We hope to return soon.

Nice Place..Great Pool!!

My grandson and I spent a week in Carolina Beach and stayed at this apartment. Diane and Bobby were great to rent from. We had a couple of problems during our stay and they took care of them quickly. It is a great location. Close to the beach, board walk, aquarium, Ft. Fisher, Battleship NC and Wilmington. The pool was wonderful after being out in the heat and at the beach. Its very relaxing! I would highly recommend staying here.

Real Thing

We appreciated the intimate space of this apartment. It flows naturally .... provided the options we like best: FOOD: a decent ability to cook from scratch( market is close); WATER: shower pressure is great; pool; REST: tres comfortable duvet, low light/noise, comfortable bed. ACCESS: full media access we needed to research the area and stay in touch with home. It reminded us of Italy, where you re encounter each other, and yourself all the time just because you are doing real things together....everything is different...size, colour, temperature, and sensibility of scale... closer and really refreshing. Romantic too if you want it to be. We liked the euro air conditioning system that allowed us to control heat by degrees as we needed it by day or night. NIce. The apartment was ultra clean. Spotless really. Very nice. We love being near water, but are not beach people per se We photograph, explore, and junk collect . This area is a minefield for anyone interested in social realism. Walking out on the wharves to watch the fisher people was a favorite pastime for us.. Staying at the beach allows you to swim, gawk, and relax and stuff yourself with fresh seafood, while still being a close drive to the artistic and epicurean delights in Wilmington City close by. Its a perfect placement for those who want to do it all with little time.... D&B are interesting, intuitive people. They are well informed and expert hosts. They go beyond the call of duty to see to your needs because they are appreciative of what their guests bring to them as well. This is a rare commodity.

Nice and Quiet

My wife and I vacation here the first and second week of August and it was grand. The owners who live above our rental were real gracious and hospitable. They made us feel like family. Albeit the heat index was crucifying which limited our beach activities during the day we enjoyed to comforts just like being at home. This is a great rental for a couple wanting to get away from it all.

my girlfriend and i just stayed here with my two dogs. we loved the place! it's a great getaway spot - far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip and close enough to walk to the beach, restaurants and fun summer events of the boardwalk. diane was so friendly and helpful. the pool was a definite plus! we even had a few friends over for a BBQ one night and the outdoor entertaining space was fantastic! our dogs fully enjoyed themselves as well. the only issue we had was the cats upstairs. if your dogs are unfamiliar with or dislike cats - you might find it a bit daunting.

Great Vacation...Amazing Hosts!!

My girlfriend and I (and Capone...the dog) stayed here through Memorial Day Weekend. It was a perfect getaway! Diane and Bobby are genuinely nice people and great hosts! They were lifesavers, providing me with an Aloe Vera leaf to treat a slight sunburn after a day at the beach. Also, we had family take a day trip down for my girlfriend's birthday and Diane and Bobby were extremely welcoming. The apartment itself is colorful, fun and most importantly clean! I would recommend this rental to anyone, especially couples or friends looking for a relaxing beach vacation! We will definitely be back!!

Our experience was great! Diane and Bobby Ferguson were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We had two small dogs with us and they were treated like part of their family. We liked that the property was off the main strip but you could walk to shops and restaurants in just a few minutes. Really enjoyed the salt water swimming pool. My daughter does not get in the ocean so that worked out nicely. At the end of our trip, Bobby's friend, the talented Thomas Fitzpatrick, made a special personalized sign for my home in Virginia called "As the Crow Flies" which looks great on my home. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Could'nt Have Been Any Better!

A great place to stay. Comfortable and cool. It was quite hot during our stay and the air conditioned apartment and pool were just the ticket. And the queen sized bed was heavenly. Within an easy distance to anything you need and far enough away form the hussle and bussle. Diane and Bobby were the best hosts ever. Great fun! Helpful with everything. Had a great stay and have a new friends as well. We will be traveling to the area in the future and will most definately will return to this tropical oasis.

Best Place Ever!!!

This was the best week I've had in a long while. The apartment was very comfy and cool. It was easy to settle in and feel "at home" for the five days I was there. Diane and Bobby are amazing. They were very welcoming, kind, and helpful...perfect hosts. I especially liked that this apartment was located in a quiet neighborhood just a short distance from the touristy bustle of the main drag. It was close enough to walk anywhere and far enough away to feel slightly removed from the crowds. Plus, the saltwater pool was heaven! Why stay at an overpriced, packed chain hotel on the beach when you can feel at home and undisturbed in this spectacular little casita? I highly recommend this place. Would be perfect for a couple's get away.

My wife and I really enjoyed our one week stay. The very private pool was clean, and was quite refreshing to take a dip into after a long day at the beach. We took advantage of the pool everyday. The garden and tall trees surrounding the pool left you feeling as if you were in your own world, and provided ample shade anytime of the day. Diane and Bobby were gracious hosts who quickly answered any questions, provided us with items needed to make our stay more comfortable, and were relaxed and easy to get along with. The beach was just a short walk away, and as residents of Carolina Beach, both Bobby and Diane had good insight into where to eat, shop, and play. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen clean, and in good working order, and the gas grill perfect for grilling up fresh fish and vegetables from the market. If you enjoy a quiet getaway, cooking your own meals, a pool, and want accessibility to shopping, eating out, and stores that meet any need I'd highly recommend this rental.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a cost effective place to stay for our 1 year and came across this home. Everything was perfect from the location to how well it was taken care of! On top of that Diane and Bobby were extremely sweet and made us feel right at home. We had went to dinner one night and came back to find our towels hanging to dry for us that we had left outside. Cute Beach Apartment!

We just got back from a long Memorial Day weekend at Bobby and Diane's. The apartment was cute, clean, and cozy! Diane and Bobby are two of the nicest people we have ever met, and they immediately make you feel at home. The apartment is close enough to walk to restaurants, entertainment, etc., without being in the fray of traffic. They were very helpful with info on getting around the island, if you do decide to venture furthur away. We missed seeing Diane when we left, so "Thanks again, Diane (and Bobby), for a wonderful stay!" Our little Chihuahua, my husband, and I all enjoyed our stay, and look forward to another visit!

What a nice place to have a relaxing vacation. Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for three nights and it was perfect! Diane and Bobby were so friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The pool was a perfect for us to cool off after being on the beach all day. This apartment is very clean and within walking distance to whatever we needed. We did not drive any where which was great! We hope to stay agian next year!

Adorable Getaway for Two!

This charming little apartment is the perfect size for two people looking to relax at the beach! The bright colors, immaculate kitchen, and cute bathroom only emphasize how much care was put into designing a place for two. The bed was very comfortable, and they even had extra comforters and pillows, which we used! You could easily walk to the beach if you wanted, however on vacation and lazy, we opted to drive, and paid only $5 for a whole day of parking. As two young women in our 20s, we felt very safe in the neighborhood, and I walked my girly dog outside at all times of the night. The owners were gracious, and kept the whole place clean and updated. While we did not use the salt pool, it looked lovely and on our next visit we definitely will take advantage! Diane, we loved staying at your place, and will return next year for a longer visit, with Twiggy in tow as well!
