Description of the Carolina Beach vacation cottage rental

THREE BLOCKS TO OCEAN - NOT OCEAN FRONT - NOT OCEAN FRONT PRICES! THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE ON ISLAND LIKE THIS! THIS IS WHAT OUR VISITORS TELL US.

Large oak trees line the property of this charming cottage located in the heart of Carolina Beach, North Carolina. We offer you clean and comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price.

Comfort and southern charm - sit back on the screened porch and listen to the rustle of the oaks and at night - the sound of the ocean in the distance.

AC, Cable/DVD, Kitchen and all utensils, W/D, Queen bed, bedding, Screened Porch and Large Deck, Large yard. We provide all towels including beach towels.


There is an outdoor shower and grill the deck. With temps stayin in the 80's well into October there is no reason you can not enjoy the beach now at a reduced rate.

Cross Snow's Cut Bridge onto Pleasure Island and breathe a sigh of relief. You're in paradise! This place is unspoiled by all the traffic and high-rise condos of other area beaches. Also there is beach access up and down the island at the end of nearly every street. All this and more but most important - our beautiful WIDE AND CLEAN beaches are all within a few short blocks and easy walking distance from the cottage.

Are you into fishing? Check out Carolina Beach’s charter fishing fleet. The town also offers top of the line cruise boats and fun and shopping at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. There are fine restaurants, family restaurants, or just grab a slice of pizza at the boardwalk and get back on the beach. Also don't forget this is the home of the famous Britt's dounuts!

Ft. Fisher and the NC Aquarium are only 4 miles away. Or take a Ferry from Ft. Fisher to Southport for lunch at Provisions - a must do for local flavor.

Historic Wilmington is within a 20 minute drive and has many attractions such as antebellum mansions, horse-drawn carriage tours to view these homes, fine dining, golfing, shopping, and the USS North Carolina Battleship. Some other attractions include the Children's Museum, Cape Fear Museum, and tours of the Screen Gems Movie Studios where One Tree Hill, Dawson's Creek and numerous movies have been filmed.

There are at least seven good resturants and live entertainment venues within walking distance of the cottage. The beach and marina are three short blocks from the property. This is a great location to just park the car and ride bikes if you are inclined. No need to drive again once you have arrived.

 Nice little apartment, September 18, 2009

We actually stayed at the apartment owned by the same owner. Both were very nice places. We stayed in the apartment. It was spotless and comfortable. The bed was clean and comfortable enough to over sleep everyday. We cooked breakfast and made a sandwich for lunch in the nice little kitchen. The shower was clean and had ample water pressure and hot water. Beware though if your trying to take your workaholic husband away from everything the television, cellphone and internet work great. The only thing nicer than the home was the couple that owned it.

This is a perfect getaway spot for a couple! The cottage has everything you need and is creatively decorated! The bed linens are super...all cotton and comfy. Nice location for walking out to dinner and the boardwalk. We loved the hospitality and the comforts of home. Will definitely come back!

 Great Beach House for Two!, July 21, 2009

This little house was fantastic! Newly renovated with nice hardwood floors, screened porch to escape the NC mosquitoes, comfy couches and creative interior and exterior design. As a graphic designer I appreciated that. I loved the electric grill even though I'm religiously a charcoal man. I came toting a small dog which I wouldn't recommend because the local beaches are not pet friendly (on or off leash). You must travel to Ft. Fisher about 10 minutes away. Also, it's a pretty good hike with beach gear if you plan on walking to the closest beach, I would rec. hopping in the car and parking at one of the public parking areas if you are carrying more than a few things. Boardwalk BINGO was a blast, make sure you grab some Britt's Doughnuts while you are there! To sum it up, great house, great location, fun beach and plenty of activities and shopping between Wilmington and Southport.

This property is a gem! Very clean, very modern, but quirky and fun! Great location. All kitchen appliances provided, but bring all other supplies...no food items left behind. Go around the corner to Havana's for dinner of fresh seafood!

We stayed at this charming little place on short notice and thanks to the flexibility of Bobby and Diane (the owners) we were able to enjoy a wonderful last minute vacation! The place was very clean, cute as a button and was so comfortable the we didn't want to leave. Only a short walk to the beach, and some good restaurants. We will definitely be back again soon!

From the fully equipped kitchen to the sun-soaked back yard and shady screened porch, this place offers alot of advantages over hotel rooms in the area that cost just as much or more. We loved the hardwood floors and the huge closet that allowed us to stash all our luggage out of sight to make the cottage feel even more like home. Located less than a block from the main road, it's an easy walk to several restaurants and attractions, and the beach. The owners, Diane and Bobby are very helpful and friendly, and they can expect us back soon.
