Description of the Carrabassett Valley vacation home rental

Spacious cedar year round, 3 bedroom (2w/queen beds, one w/double bed, double futon in loft) 2 bath (master w/jacuzzi)home. Embden Pond is located between the four season recreational areas of Sugarloaf USA/Carrabassett Valley and the Upper Kennebec River Valley Region, three and a half hours north of Boston.(see map)
Picture our lake home with its large elevated deck w/gas grill, overlooking one of the twelve cleanest lakes in Maine. Our living-room with walls of windows framing the lake and hills together with the stone fireplace create an inviting place to relax. The well-equipped kitchen provides exceptional views of the lake. Our waterfront offers a lower deck and 30 foot dock. We provide an 18ft Old Town canoe. Enjoy our lawns and gardens sitting in the Adirondack chairs or stay in and watch the 52" Sony HD w/surround sound in the family room complete with gas fireplace.
It's the perfect escape for couples or a family, winter, spring, summer or fall. Come to Embden and discover our private retreat.

Downhill or cross country ski Sugarloaf USA, snowmobile the ITS (International Trail System) easily accessed behind home, snowshoe on trails, golf at Sugarloaf USA or historic Lakewood Golf Course in Madison, white water raft the Dead River and Kennebec, kayak, canoe, fly-fish, swim and jump off the dock, attend summer theater at Lakewood Playhouse or dine out in Kingfield.

• Deposits: Damage/Reservation Deposit- A Damage/Reservation Deposit of $400.00 is required. This must be received within seven days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent: however, it is fully refundable within fourteen days of departure. (see rental contract for details of conditions of property) Payment Deposit- An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival.

We spend the week with my daughter her husband and our three grandchildren.this is a yearly vacation we have been doing since 1987. It was great the house was wonderful a nice touch of fresh flowers were left around for us. and the owner was so very helpful in every way I would so say tray this house you will not be sorry

We had the most wonderful vacation here this February with friends and family-the house is not only spectacularly beautiful, but it is clean warm (!!!) and cosy-we had wonderful scrabble games by the fireplace every night-It was even fun to come back to the house after skiing and cook as the kitchen is so well equiped. The moon over the lake an night is magical. We can't wait to have another vacation here.

The photographs of this beautiful waterfront home are only a hint of the cozy, relaxing comfort to be enjoyed at this vacation home. Our family of four enjoyed the spectacular lake views, the clean, comfortable accomodations, and the colorfully landscaped gardens. The home is spacious, tastefully decorated, well furnished and inviting. The location is quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend this gem of a vacation rental. The owners are eager to please and will courteously answer any and all questions you may have about their property. Definitely a five-star vacation rental!
