Our living-room with walls of windows framing the lake and hills together with the stone fireplace create an inviting place to relax. The well-equipped kitchen provides exceptional views of the lake. Our waterfront offers a lower deck and 30 foot dock. We provide an 18ft Old Town canoe. Enjoy our lawns and gardens sitting in the Adirondack chairs or stay in and watch the 72" HD w/surround sound in the family room complete with gas fireplace.

This home is very comfortable and clean. It is also nicely appointed. Has everything you need, just supply the food,libations, and guests. The views of the pond, mountains and forests are incredible! This is an awesome spot for rest and relaxation. It is so peaceful. I often thought of the name John Adams gave to his family home in the 1700's in Braintree, Ma. of "Peacefield" was very appropriate for this vacation property. There are multiple levels where you can relax. Starting on the dock (right on the water) , to a cozy deck just off the dock, to the Adirondack chairs on the lawn, to sitting on the large deck attached to the back of the house. .These different levels are great when the wind picks up and/or the temp starts to lower. One can easily move to warmer seating.There are wonderful flower gardens all around the property. The owners are very helpful and only a phone call away. Their neighbors to the left (standing in front of home) are lovely and also very helpful. I'm planning on returning next summer to "Peacefield" for more of the same summer delights. If you go out for dinner, I highly recommend the Heritage House in Skowhegan,Me. Another house guest also recommended this restaurant. It is definitely worth the drive.

We spend the week with my daughter her husband and our three grandchildren.this is a yearly vacation we have been doing since 1987. It was great the house was wonderful a nice touch of fresh flowers were left around for us. and the owner was so very helpful in every way I would so say tray this house you will not be sorry

We had the most wonderful vacation here this February with friends and family-the house is not only spectacularly beautiful, but it is clean warm (!!!) and cosy-we had wonderful scrabble games by the fireplace every night-It was even fun to come back to the house after skiing and cook as the kitchen is so well equiped. The moon over the lake an night is magical. We can't wait to have another vacation here.
