Description of the Carrabassett Valley vacation home rental

MORE THAN 4 FEET OF SNOW IN FEBRUARY!
AWESOME CONDITIONS.
AND IT'S SPRING .. THE BEST TIME TO SKI!!!!
Awesome, airy, bright, comfortable 4-bedroom home on Sugarloaf's West Mountain with indoor hot tub, fireplace, huge loft/family room, open-space living/dining area, mountain views, free shuttle to base.
Main floor offers cathedral ceiling in large living/dining area with fireplace, large, well-equipped kitchen, pantry, master bedroom and bath. Upstairs, there's a huge loft/family room with cable, Internet, library/TV area. Downstairs, 2 more bedrooms, bath, ski area and hot tub.
Two decks, gas grill, great views.
Rates are $2400 a week, $400 a night weekends and holidays and $350 a night during the week with a 2-night minimum stay.
WILL SWAP!!!!
Owner would also be willing to swap a ski week at Sugarloaf for a week out west in the winter or in tropical climates during late spring or fall.
NO PETS without prior approval of the owner.
A word of caution: Although I discourage pets and rent only to the most responsible of pet owners, they do visit on occasion. So, if you are highly allergic, please ask if there have been any canine guests lately!

A great place to stay

February 27, 2012

We found the house to be such a great place! We rented for the whole week and had different friends join us, each for two or three days. In all 17 different people from five families skied and stayed over the week. The shuttle service was very convenient. We had good ski days, wonderful meals in the spacious and well-outfitted kitchen, we used the on-mountain fitness center and took the kids to the AntiGravity Center for the trampolines, climbing wall, etc. Met Seth Wescott at The Rack one night! The kids were so excited! Loved the torch light skiers and fireworks on the night mountain. Not one family wanted to leave when it was their time to pack out. We're all sad that we missed the great snowfall the mountains got after we left. We live in southern Maine and got all rain in that storm. While it was raining at our house, I was thinking how beautiful the snowflakes must be when viewed through the windows on Summit Lane.

Great Time, Great Host

House is in great location, only 2 homes on summit lane. Walk 30 seconds to shuttle pick up. We rented the whole house between holidays. Hot tub, fireplace, radiant floor heating, plenty of birch trees and evergreens around the home, feels like you're the only house on the Mt. Lots of room to relax and a cool area downstairs for storing ski gear and getting ready. Nancy is very nice and helped us with getting to known Sugarloaf. It snowed everyday and can't wait to go back. Highly Recommended.
