Description of the Carrabelle Beach vacation cottage rental
This delightful cottage is nestled on a beautiful wooded lot on Lake McKissack. The property is less than a mile from public boat launch and only 1 mile to the beautiful white sands of Carrabelle Beach. This is the ideal location for fishing and beach enjoyment. The cottage is furnished very nicely and includes everything needed for your stay, including linens. There is also plenty of room for parking your boat or jet skiis. We also have a paddle boat for your enjoyment and we just built a new 30' dock on the lake with a lighted walkway to the water.

The nostalgic town of Carrabelle is just 1/2 mile from the cottage and is one of Florida's favorite fishing places offering great off-shore, bay fishing, and fresh water fishing in the Carrabelle, New River, and Crooked River. Carrabelle Beach, which is just about a mile, is a beautiful white sandy beach for sunbathing, shelling, fishing, and swimming. St. James Bay Golf Course is just 6 miles east of Carrabelle. This is a new world-class course and offers a great restaurant and golf shop. To the west of Carrabelle is the historic town of Apalachicola, offering lots of artist's handicrafts, antiques, historic homes & shops, and great seafood. St. George Island is only 15-20 minutes away and has one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the world. There is also great surf fishing, boat rental, scooter & bike rental, and shopping.

This cottage is close to everything yet very private in this wooded setting. This is a small gated community with only two cottages. (Only 3 houses on the entire lake) Fish in this fresh water lake, or within one mile to gulf, bay or river. Restaurant within walking distance. Town less than a mile. Kayak and boat rentals, off-shore fishing excursions, all within a mile.
