Cartagena de Indias founded in the 1500's, has a colorful history and is nominated by UNESCO as, Cultural Heritage of Mankind. The sizable Centro Historical area is completly fortified and offers a bustling downtown shopping area and markets, beautifully restored biuldings and homes, churches and cathedrals, and museums, all scattered amoung many parks and squares.

A walk thru the city reviles carefully preserved and restored architecture and colorful flowered balconies that Cartagena is now famous for.

For the more sophisticated traveler, a cosmopolitan life awaits you in the many fine restauants, clubs, spas, and shops. From street side Cafes to the fine cruisines, and late night entertainment, Cartagena de Indias will satisfie all your hearts desires.

The Caribbean Sea offers warm sea breazes and the nearby beaches and islands; water-sports and tropical settings.

The Exquisite Colonial Jewel, was more than we expected,the rooms were confortable& the service was great, Charlie the butler was a great asset, we had a great experience, my grandchildren had a great time. I highly recommend it.

Casa de la Palmas was the special host for enjoyable and wonderful Birthday celebrations accomodating 6 people for a week in Cartagena. The house, character, service, proximity was amazing and all 6 tenants were content, happily satisfied and came home missing their Cartagena casa! The staff was spectacular, cheerful, helpful and efficient. The home was comfortable, enjoyable, airy, creative and beautifully decorated. Our group called it 'Real World Cartagena' because it was such a cool house and great time. The rooms,space and amenities were accomodating and exceptional. The location was the best, beautiful street, safe surroundings, nice neighbors and close to everything. I was complimented throughout the week for making great arrangements and I went home feeling accomplished, happy and spoiled from the great treatment and experience in Cartagena. We all vowed we would return since we already miss our Cartegena friends of Casa de las Palmas. Exceptional experience!! Well done!
