Description of the Carters Lake vacation cabin rental

River Family Retreat is spacious and comfortable for your enjoyment and relaxation. It sleeps up to 16 people and is totally 'top of the line' when you are talking "mountain getaway". This luxury cab in has 4 large bedrooms: 1. the master bedroom has a king size bed, 32" plasma widescreen t.v and french doors opening up to the rear deck overlooking the river. 2. the second bedroom has two twin beds and a double bed and is on same main floor as master bedroom. 3 and 4. Two more large bedrooms are upstairs, both with queen size beds and one has a satellite TV and DVD player. The Ultimate Game Room: Now for the finished basement- what a room!! Three brand new futons for the kids or family members that just can't stay away from the party room. This has it all: - a full sized pool table - large air hockey table - dart board - 36" T.V. with satellite, DVD/VHS combo and over 25 movies - CD/MP3 digital stereo system - Card table with lots of board games For those that need to stay in this party room, there is a large storage closet and a full bathroom. Also, central heat for the cool nights. Sit out and enjoy the river views from the extended porch and the sounds or the running river through those rocks that will take your breath away. What more can we say? Come and visit and find out for yourselves that all of it is true and then some.

Carters Lake Area
Adjacent to beautiful Carters Lake, just 20 minutes from Ellijay, Georgia. Carters Lake is the deepest man-made lake east of the Mississippi river, is just across the street from Talking Rock Creek Properties and provides all sorts of lake fun such as fishing, hiking, swimming, camping, boating, picnic areas and more. Be sure to visit the impressive Corps of Engineers Dam.

Overlooks the river,Enjoy the river views and the running river sounds through our cabin, just open the double doors in the master bedroom and off the dining area. Then a short three-minute walk down and access our river backyard area. We have plenty of tubes and ropes for the family to enjoy and spend the day on the river. The trout lodge is there, also on the river for all to enjoy and the whole family can enjoy the river and views free to you spend the day !Within the resort, go tubing in the river, or enjoy the newly built trout lodge where you can fish for the day. Plus pools, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a workout room, a large pond for picnicking, and several hiking trails free for your use right in the development. Talking Rock Creek Properties is a brand new gated mountain resort in a secluded and peaceful mountain retreat near the south shores of Carters Lake. The Resort

Our home is in Talking Rock Creek Properties Resort near Carters Lake, a newly developed gated resort community with thousands of acres of mountain, woodland and river front lots.

As a guest in the resort, you have free access to all the Resort amenities such as pool and tennis courts, fitness center, basketball courts, the Trout Lodge on the River, playgrounds, ponds, hiking trails, picnic areas and more.

Just a short drive across the street from the resort is Carters Lake and the Marina which hosts an abundance of fun lake activities like fishing, swimming, boating, mountain biking, camping, picnicking and hunting.

The Mountain Area

We are conveniently located just over one hour's drive from Atlanta, Georgia and just 20 minutes from downtown Ellijay, Georgia.

Ellijay is the apple capital of Georgia and the gateway to the Appalachian Mountains. Ellijay has many restaurants, shopping, art festivals, apple orchards, antique shopping, a movie theater, sports bars, a Super Wal-Mart, the largest in the South East, and many other modern conveniences.

Also near Ellijay are countless opportunities for outdoor recreation such as hiking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, sightseeing, biking, trout fishing, camping, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, and so much more.

Within a 45 minute of the resort you have access to many popular north Georgia mountain destinations such as Fort Mountain State Park, Amicalola Falls State Park, Blue Ridge, the Appalachian Trail, and 3 large golf courses.
