Description of the Carters Lake vacation cabin rental

This cabin has so much to offer that the family will simply say 'WE WANT TO STAY' it was done with style for your enjoyment. This beautiful cabin features 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and plenty of room to roam. 'THE VIEW' is simply breathtaking, just sit and capture the sunset from the extended porch area where you can BAR-B-Q, play, or just relax. The master bedroom is large and has a king-size bed , the two bedrooms upstairs have double beds and are very comfortable. The complete and finished basement has two bedrooms one with a queen size bedroom set and the other with a king size for comfort.A spacious sitting/reading room, a game room plus a large bathroom on that floor also.Plenty of TV'S,Games & more. The cabin with the finished basement is a three story home all for your enjoyment. Come and visit and you will want to stay!

Area Description

Our vacation home is in Talking Rock Creek Properties Resort near Carters Lake, a newly developed gated resort community with thousands of acres of mountain, woodland and river front lots. As a guest in the resort, you have free access to all the Resort amenities such as pools and tennis courts, fitness center, basketball courts, the Trout Lodge on the River, playgrounds, ponds, hiking trails, picnic areas and more.

Just a short drive across the street from the resort is Carters Lake and the Marina which hosts an abundance of fun lake activities like fishing, swimming, boating, mountain biking, camping, picnicking and hunting.

We are conveniently located just over one hour's drive from Atlanta, Georgia and just 20 minutes from downtown Ellijay, Georgia.

Ellijay is the apple capital of Georgia and the gateway to the Appalachian Mountains. Ellijay has many restaurants, shopping, art festivals, apple orchards, antique shopping, a movie theater, sports bars, a Super Wal-Mart, the largest in the South East, and many other modern conveniences.
Also near Ellijay are countless opportunities for outdoor recreation such as hiking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, sightseeing, biking, trout fishing, camping, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, and so much more.

Within 45 minutes of the resort you have access to many popular north Georgia mountain destinations such as Fort Mountain State Park, Amicalola Falls State Park, Blue Ridge, the Appalachian Trail, 3 large golf courses, and many more.

This is a very nice vacation home. The view is excellent, which matches the pictures exactly. The pool is brand new and has excellent facilities(bathrooms,shelter,tables), but it is about 20 to 30 minutes away driving thru the hills up and down. If you are used to mountain driving it is not bad. A map of the development is available from its website(a must). The stores are about 45 to 60 minutes away as indicated in the description. We spent a lot of family time in the game room and on the porch. All the appliances worked and the house was clean upon arrival. Not sure why someone before us used the gas grill with charcoal, we did not use it and left it as it was. We had some difficulty with the TV's and dish network, took a while to figure out which channel and how to use VCR's and TV programs interchangeably. TV's in bedrooms worked fine. We spent most of the time in the local area and at the pool. The family had a great time and we all enjoyed staying at the cabin. A nice quiet place

This cabin has all you need and then some. We enjoyed our stay and felt the comforts of home. We were thrilled that the cabin kept us all wanting to stay in. There is much to do in the area but we simply loved this cabin. The game room was great and the 5 bedrooms with 3 bath made our stay very comfortable. We can't wait to return to the mountains- it was a vacation to remember.
