Description of the Cashiers vacation cabin rental

Step back into yesteryear with the all the modern conveniences of today in this quaint Log Cabin nestled amid the Nantahala National Forest. This cabin is so cute you won't ever want to leave! It is conveniently located right in the middle of Cashiers and Highlands (about 11 miles to either). Both towns are fabulous! Shop til you drop for anything you could imagine, and dine with the best! Master chefs and fabulous restaurants abound, or stay back at the cabin and cook in your fully equipped modernized kitchen!
There are two bedrooms (both upstairs). The master bedroom has a fabulous king size bed and the second bedroom has an equally comfy queen size bed. (We are fanatics when it comes to sleeping well on vacation! Comfort is very important to us, as well as the comfort of our guests!) There is a wonderful double reclining sofa and "bubba" recliner in the living room for total meltdown after a busy day of hiking, exploring or shopping in Cashiers or Highlands! The livingroom has a beautiful stone fireplace and an ambience that takes you back in time. The covered front & back porches have rocking chairs, and a dining set. Enjoy your dinner outside, and melt into a rocking chair, or simply play checkers! Later in the evening, cozy round the fire pit in the totally private back yard in a big comfy adirondack chair.
If you are a nature lover or a hiker, you will absolutely love it here. We are less than two miles from the trailhead of Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area of the Nantahala and a short hike from the Chattooga River, made famous in the movie "Deliverance".
The cabin is also a short distance from Franklin, Bryson City and Cherokee. And you're about an hour from Asheville.
What are you waiting for! I promise you'll love it and come back again and again!

Our weekend at the charming cabin was just perfect. We booked late and we felt lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our weekend getaway! The cabin is located just minutes from Cashiers and Highlands, both great for shopping and dining. The cabin is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We certainly recommend the cabin and we will consider renting it again ourselves!

Had a great time at the cabin. Ideal location to get out of the city for a weekend. Excellent hiking and fishing in immediate area. Will return soon!

 As advertised!, November 9, 2007
By Judee Krom (Dallas, TX)
The cabin was comfy and secluded as advertised. It had all the amenities needed to have a relaxed get away. The owners even provided the fixin's for a smoky mountain breakfast and a bear print provided by a local artist. The area was beyond our hopes and there were many hiking trails and places to see and photograph.

Myself and my three best friends spent new years at the evan's cabin last year and it was the most wonderful time. We cannot wait to go back in a couple of weeks! We love the seclusion and the beautiful views and the quiet! The breakfast was a wonderful new year's surprise and we literally cannot wait to get back! Thanks!!
Owner Supplied Testimonials
We just bought this wonderful piece of heaven, and are looking forward to enjoying it for years to come. We are in the process of upgrading the kitchen with a few "luxuries" like a dishwasher and new appliances. We are also putting in new living room furniture, wonderful beds, porch rockers, a great firepit and a few other little surprises! All should be done by the beginning of June.
We have a beach home that we rent out also, so we know what it takes to please renters and we always go above and beyond! Please call us if you have any questions, and please give our little "piece of heaven" a try! We know you'll love it as much as we do!

"The Hummingbird House" (9/05)

I'm so glad my friend, Linda found your ad on the internet....it was the perfect cool-mountain experience; so different from our long, hot Florida summer. Once we found the cabin, we settled right into your welcoming surroundings. The comfortable beds, thirsty towels and crackling fire were just perfect after a day of local explorations. We'll be back for sure!!!

PS Many thanks for the breakfasts...........
Thanksgiving Weekend, 2005

We loved this little fairy-tale cottage, twinkling with christmas lights and welcoming us after our long ride from Nashville. Everything was perfect and we had a chance to relax and laugh together, to watch movies, hike, visit beautiful waterfalls, shop a little and mostly, just to be with each other.
We would love to come back and will pass along the word of this special place to our friends in Nashville.
Thanks so much,
C., G., and J.T.
