Description of the Cashmere vacation home rental

-Large home for family or groups:

-2 story home will accommodate up to 10 people (max 6 adults): 3 luxury queen beds, 2 bunk beds with full (memory foam-top) mattresses on bottom and singles on top.

-Downstairs bedroom has private bath with heated whirlpool tub.

-Large kitchen and dining area, computer work station with free wi-fi, printer, 55" Dish Network T.V., washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, large hot water heater.

*A fun fact* It takes about 10 1/2 trips around the 'loop' to make a mile!

Area Information

**Staging for shopping and recreation / kayak and raft launch area for families and groups

- Kayaks and rafts can be launched directly from property. Almost all of the river's most popular rapids are down river from my property: Rodeo hole, Drunkard's drop,Trinity wave, Snowblind, Grannies, etc. The Wenatchee River is one of the most popular rivers in the state!
-During high flows kayaks practice in standing wave in front of property, then are brought back up stream in large back eddy where they can rest or surf again.

-Located in a multi-recreational area half way between Leavenworth and Cashmere on Highway 2. Quick access to both cities for multiple daily outings: Octoberfest, Christmas lighting, etc. **Please feel free to call anytime for an email containing useful links to area activities

-Fast access to miles of trail systems, non-motorized and ORV. Kite-boarding at Lake Wenatchee, tourist towns, fruit stands, museums and antique shops that amuse families and children, fishing and hunting nearby **Chinook and steelhead fishing right off property, seasons to be announced.

-Wenatchee and East Wenatchee are 15 and 20 minutes away and have many services: Costco, Les Schwab, motorcycle-boat-snowmobile service, several large sporting good stores, Home Depot, Fed-Ex Kinko’s etc. There are also lots of restaurants and pubs.

-Rafts and kayaks access river directly above a 2 hour float through river's most popular white water for take out in Cashmere's Riverside Park. (River is considered low hazard and contains class II and III rapids).

-Sandy beach (summertime) is on double river eddies which create safe swimming,
Chinook salmon jump from the deep pool near the beach during the Summer and Fall runs.

-Renters have use of a large private 2 acres with plenty of parking for vehicles and recreational 'toys'.

-For families with boats- the Columbia River boat launches are 15 (freeway) miles away: Wenatchee Riverfront Park and Wenatchee Confluence State Park.

-During the summer this area has amazing warm sunny weather and brilliant starry nights. Located where the desert starts its change to alpine with a rich concentration of native birds and animals.

The property was amazing and so was the home. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space for all 10 of us that stayed. The kids had fun hanging out in the kids room and out by the fire pit. Overall it was a great time in a wonderful place.

Family Holiday Getaway

We have spent the last 7 years going to the Leavenworth area to celebrate the holidays with our family and this house was very comfortable and accommodating. The family room and kitchen are very spacious and there was ample room for all 10 of us to sleep. The river is a hop, skip and a jump from the house and we enjoyed a campfire next to the river where the kids made s'mores. Margaret was very helpful and friendly and made sure all was well during our stay. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

This is a really nice property w/ 4 bdrms and really new. I would have given it 5 stars except the kitchen wasn't outfitted well at all...no stock pot over 1 1/2 qts., no cheese grater ,...all the pans seemed to be hand me downs making even the simplest of meals a challenge. We were cooking for ten so wasn't too happy about that at all. That being said the house was beautiful and comfortable and they had several inflatable kayaks to use and bikes also. Although the house was very close to the highway it really didn't bother us hardly at all. It's on a nice bend on the river w/ a small beach(bigger as the water level goes down) w/ plenty of outdoor chairs that can be taken down to the riverside. We had a good time floating short section of the river (from just below the dam right to our beach...about a 15-20 min. float) and also fishing. Margaret was very helpful and the neighbors were also....very friendly and willing to give their local knowledge up freely. I would recommend this property for groups of 4 or more...really kind of big for just a couple.

Beautiful home with a view

We had an excellent stay in December. The perfect house for a relaxing weekend. The snow covered property was gorgeous! The kitchen is very large and equipped with everything we could ever need. The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I was blown away that I was able to sit in the jetted bathtub and watch cable TV! The living room is very spacious with cozy furniture and a enormous flat screen TV. The upstairs bedroom had amazing views of the Wenatchee River. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Luxery Close to Home

We just didn't want to leave! My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. You could not ask for more in a vacation home. The bedrooms are beautiful. The main bath has an amazing jacuzzi tub, and you can watch the tv that is actually "in" the mirror. You could'nt ask for a better kitchen. Totally 'gourmet. We will definately be back in the summer. We can wait to walk down to the river that is less than 100 yards away. Just a beautiful place to stay we can not wait to go back!

A:Children above all seem to enjoy staying at the Wenatchee River House.
Because of the variety of the property terrain, road loop, fruit trees, beach by the River, etc. They are content to play and explore endlessly. Day trips from the property also seem especially suited for children.

Q:What do the adults find enjoyable about the vacation rental?

A:Adults that are active and curious about the surrounding area will be surprised by the wide range of outdoor activities that are available. For people that just want to relax, the house, property and beach (Summer) are amazing. The shopping, restaurants, and sights are second to none.

Q:What is unique about this property?

A:This is one of the few properties with a level lot all the way down to the river. Additionally, it's geographic location is perfectly centered between the two gorgeous little cities of Leavenworth and Cashmere.
It is remarkable that a short drive west leads to alpine and to the east (about 12 miles) you are in the desert.

Q:What is one of the best kept secrets?

A:The Cashmere Pioneer Museum, young children are free older children 3. adults 5.50.
On display are artifacts from the Wenatchi Indians and recent prehistoric finds.
Kids can roam freely among and peek inside the relocated and actual re-assembled pioneer shops and houses.

Q:How about an interesting drive?

A:If you like geology, you might consider a drive to Waterville and Banks Lake.
You can view the fault in the cliffs by the Columbia River as well as huge rocks left from the Missoula Floods.
