B&B da Viviana in a beautiful unspoiled setting
It is in the heart of the region famous for the production of parmigiano-reggiano cheese and Parma ham.
We have made special agreements with the local Parmigiano Reggiano dairy (2' walk) and with a producer of Parma ham at Langhirano (Parma) where you can go - free of charge - and see how these important local products are made.
Da Viviana with its quiet and comfortable rooms with private bathroom it’s the perfect residence if you want to discover this magical place, a little paradise where authentic Italian atmosphere can still be experienced.
If you want further descriptions please visit our site bbviviana.it but for any doubts please do not hesitate to contact us or to call us and we will be pleased to help.
Castelnovo ne' Monti is the main hub and virtual nerve centre in the entire Apennine Mountains of Reggio Emilia and you will find several supermarkets, big fashionable shops, banks, a post office, a hospital, a theatre which also provides a first class cinema, ice cream shops, but above all a great feeling of hospitality and a true zest for life.
For the well-being of mind and body, 4' drive from hour house you will find a beautiful SPA: swimming pool (indoor and outdoor), whirlpool, sauna, turkish bath, kneipp, gymnasium, massage treatments... We have made special agreements and they grant a 25% discount on the official rates to our Guests.
Whilst providing all the amenities you will need, Castelnovo ne' Monti has managed to remain a truly Italian town in one of the most stunning parts of the country.
The jewel in its crown is the magnificent Pietra di Bismantova which really captures the tranquil beauty of the Apennine Mountains and with its sheer rock faces provide one of north Italy’s most important training grounds for free-climbing.
Here, history is inexorably linked with the name of “Matilde di Canossa”. Castles and parish churches are the sign of this history which can also still be witnessed in the local customs and events of the area.
For the motorbike and car enthusiasts we are a short drive to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati Museums and Factory.
For eating out in the evening, we are lucky to have a wide variety of excellent restaurants in the local vicinity and we can of course advise you.

Because of car trouble we were 'stranded" in Castelnovo 'ne Monti and stayed in B&B Viviana for 4 days. Our host Signora Viviana was very hospitable and helped us in all possible ways and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The B& B is clean and comfortable; rooms are in a separate and quiet building. The surroundings are beautiful and Viviana gave us many tips about sightseeing and restaurants. She is a wonderful host and she speaks perfect English. We will surely return here.

We really love this place and Viviana's hospitality! Nature, surroundings and town authenticity are incredible what makes us come here again and again. House is very comfortable, all you need you have or can ask Viviana who is always ready to help. There are lots of places around you can engage yourself with. You can go to the neighbour cheesery, grab some ricotta&wine and have a wonderfull picknick on the top of nearby mountain. Or you can go to Parma to see the production of famous ham or to Modena to visit Ferrari headquarters! Really lots of things to do and places to see. We really recommend to come here!

The Brents - Bowmanville, Ontario Canada We stayed with Viviana for 2 nights. When we first arrived, Viviana was there to greet us and show us our home away from home. She made us feel most comfortable. She checked with us as to what we would like to have for breakfast the next morning. She told us about some of the local sites to see and she also had maps and brochures for many surrounding attractions. The local restaurants and shopping is just a short drive. One we will not forget is our personal tour of the parmigiano reggiano cheese making farm right across the road from her place. If you like peace and serenity, this B&B has it all. High in the mountains with a spectacular view all around. Viviana goes over and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one.

We had a wonderful week at Castelnovo ne’ Monti, and Viviana was most welcoming. It was a lovely stay in a charming place. The beds comfortable and warm, the breakfast good and more than adequate and moreover Viviana speaks very good English and nothing was too much trouble for her. Because of her very good ideas how to spend the days, we will remember this holiday for long. We hope to return to this jewel of a find! Clary Winchester, England

My wife and I stayed at Viviana’s B&B in May this year. We were absolutely exhausted when we arrived but were immediately made feel welcome by Viviana who provided us with refreshments and made us feel completely at home. Our room was delightful, bright, even if little small, overlooking the back garden, and with our own private bathroom. As far as location is concerned, we found it perfect. The surrounding area offers different opportunities for everyone who loves trekking but the B&B is also a good base if you want to visit major cities and lakes in Northern Italy or if you want to go to Cinque Terre (a bit more than one hour drive) and Viviana was also helpful in providing maps, catalogues and some tips on what to see. Apart from the excellent value for money the hospitality was great and so we highly recommend it.
Thank you for such a good stay in your immaculate and comfortable B&B. Better than a hotel!
You are very friendly and welcoming, full of good advice and suggestions. We felt we had really come to the area and got to know you and some of the other people, properly. It was a privilege to come and stay with you!
We wish you continuing success with your B&B.
Very best, ciao!
