We have a more than 180 degree view of salt marsh, bayou, and Gulf of Mexico. Water front condo on the island of Cedar Key Florida - Gulf Coast. 3rd floor (top floor!) corner unit with balcony, gourmet kitchen, king and queen bedrooms, 2 baths. Private, quiet, small condo complex. Resort "feel".
Our condo is named "Tranquility" because it was our goal to provide a peaceful escape from a busy world, but to still provide the amenities to have a wonderful vacation. A blending of contemporary organic themes and traditional Japanese design elements lends just the right touch of "Zen" to the space without being intrusive.
We offer a fully amenitized condo in the Old Fenimore Mill Condo Complex including free high speed WiFi (you won't have to share with the whole complex!), free long distance calls to US and Canada, Streaming Movies and Music, and of course the condo complex amenities of pool, jacuzzi, beach, and fishing dock. All that and walk to town for dinner or entertainment.
Bird watching and canoeing are our favorite past times. Other favorites for guests are kayaking - we have great backwaters to paddle here. Fishing is excellent (redfish, sea trout, grouper in deep ocean), several good seafood restaurants and shops within walking distance. Bring/rent a bicycle or golf cart or walk to town. (3 blocks)
If you're looking for sugar sand beaches, Cedar Key isn't your choice, but if you are looking for privacy, nature, and gorgeous views, Tranquility is a piece of heaven on earth.

Cedar Key is also known for its excellent fishing and shellfish - namely farm-raised clams. Known as the "Clam Capital of the USA", Cedar Key clams are famous for their sweetness. Of course there's plenty of other fresh seafood in Cedar Key - from redfish to scallops to stone crabs, everyone can find a favorite here whether you buy it at a fish market or catch it yourself!

Our week in John and Cindy's wonderful Tranquility condo was absolute... tranquility! The accommodations were all we'd hoped for and much more. We loved the area, and we loved the condo. We especially want to extend our thanks and appreciation to the owners -- Cindy was incredible -- she took personal time and energy to e-mail us, telling us all about Cedar Key, where to go, where to dine, where to shop, where to sightsee, where to go fishing, where to buy bait, etc. etc. My Walter cooks, and the condo was equipped with everything he needed to make some luscious dishes (mostly with the fish we caught!) Thanks, John and Cindy, for a wonderful, fun, TRANQUIL vacation. We'll definitely be back. Kelly Lange
We have rented thoughout most of Florida during the last 10-12 years. John and Cindy's Tranquility is without doubt the most comfortable and well equipped of of them all.
Beyond that you have provided so many of the things most places never think of from the conveniently stored DVD's, VHS tapes and CD's to he info on resturants, fishing guides, kayak and boat outfitters and birding books etc... Not only is managment available and helpful on site but John and Cindy make themselves available as well.
On top of that is Convenient boat parking and easy access to to the water. Our second year and we look forward to more.
And then there is the balcony! What a life...
