As you leave the Florida mainland, rich Gulf waters reflecting blue skies beckon you as birds float like petals over the marsh vista. Welcome to our island, a place where time stands still and allows you to enjoy the unique qualities of our coastal environment. Cedar Key is a quiet island community nestled among many tiny keys on the Gulf Coast of Florida. What a beautiful spot! The house is unique. It's not right downtown and it feels nice and private. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms and two sleeper sofas in the living room, so it does sleep eight. It is well appointed with linens and housewares. The wrap around second story decking is wonderful. I went up with my family and had a much needed get away. The owner was easy to contact and very responsive. We had a beautiful few days and would definitely go back. I recommend this property :-)

Being pet friendly was a huge plus - enjoyed having our 'whole' family for the long Thanksgiving holiday. Cabin is showing some age, but is comfortable. May want to consider some pest control, had to take care of a few spiders while we were there.

The property was beautiful, my boyfriend and I loved the french doors that opened up to the back balcony. The sunsets were like any other. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The bedrooms were spotless along with the bathrooms. Would definitely visit again

This was not a luxury rental, but it was acceptable. The furnishings were a bit on the shabby side. The yard needed some tending as well as the outside of the house. Again just not what we call luxury. The ceiling fan in the bedroom did not work as well a few other minor issues. One quick easy fix would be to wash the windows and a very thorough dusting. We may return to this propery next year if it has been fixed up because the layout of the house was really really nice.

It was a lovely stay with plenty of room. I was not prepared for the Florida bugs in the house, but guess that's just the way it is in fla.

We enjoyed our "tree house" very much! It was quiet and romantic . We need time away from it all and that is what we got. We will do it again next year!

Needs a major cleaning and cleaned on a routine basis. Yard needs to be kept neat and presentable. Living room furniture needs to be replaced (sofas were stained and soiled). Linens need to be replaced -- (some were threadbare, some had insect larvae). We would not reccomend the Tree House to anyone.

The Luxury Tree House is extremely well-designed and functions well as a result. However, it needs to receive a little TLC now. It is showing signs of wear that call into question its descriptors as "luxury" with a "gourmet kitchen". Some linens and kitchen items are in poor repair. In fact, one of the frying pans lost its handle while we were there. The living room furniture is sagging and uncomfortable. Also, we were disappointed that it is not closer to the waters of the marsh and we realized that was hard to discern from the descriptors. If were described accurately, renters would not be disappointed and would look forward to the excellent bird watching from the wonderful porch facing west. We understand that, because the owners are trying to sell the house, they are probably reluctant to invest in upgrading the house at this point. However, if the house's descriptions were rewritten to be more accurate, renters would be better served.

Large living and gathering room and two bedrooms on opposite sides of the house. Master bedroom has an excellent bathroom with dual sinks and a great jacuzzi ~ shower too! Located on a quiet cul-de-sac which affords privacy and ease of access.

We had a very noce time at the Tree House. Craig your home was very comfortable and very warm. We felt at home. It was a very quiet area, we even commented we felt at nite when we were on the deck as though we were back in the NC mountains. The little Island of Cedar Key is quaint and full of friendly people. Be sure to visit Manatee Springs and you can't miss out on Tony's World Famous Chowder it really is awesome. We went back for seconds. We had four wonderful days. Rick and Crystal Span

as soon as we walk though the door there were termites on the floor and in the bedrooms..I had to vacuum up every morning and every night. The place had all the amenities one needs but the termites were a dissapointment. :(

We needed a quiet getaway and the Luxury Tree House in Cedar Key was the perfect spot to get away from it all. We really enjoyed the deck in the mornings for coffee and watching the birds in the trees and having our little dog with us. The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed it. We recieved a very helpful list from the owners outlining things to do and places to eat which was very helpful in planning our stay and was right on the money. We loved Tony's World Famous Clam Chowder. We are looking forward to visting this little slice of heaven again.

would have loved to try out the tree house in cedar key seeing as how we have traveled there many times. But the owners never did respond to any message from me and another person so would not recommend this to anyone.

This TREE HOUSE was the very BEST place to stay, it was OUTSTNADING, very clean, nice nice view, almost like HOME, very relaxing, and Cedar Key is one of the small towns, lots to do in the area.we will book this home again in the spring and looking forward to doing so. The owners are outstanding, the Mrs decorated a Christmas Tree for us, as we arrived on Christmas day. Enjoyed every minute of our stay.

I just wanted to drop a note to say how much we really enjoyed the house and cedar key we really didnt want the time to end we will be back soon

Treehouse was anything but luxurious. No cleaning had been done before our arrival-sheets, towels, bathrooms, and kitchen were deeply dirty. We had to wash three loads of clothes, clean both bathrooms, the stove, under the sink (roaches), and vacuum and mop the kitchen (where we found a black widow spider) before we could even unpack our belongings. We found the Jenn-Aire grill dismantled and crusted with grease. We had to use our aircard for email communication since the advertised DSL was not working. (Neither was the phone.) Contact with the owner yeilded expressions of surprise and sympathy via email but nothing more. The lawn was overgrown and the neighbors had four large dogs which roamed at will. The home is well-designed and has a beautiful view, but is in deep need of TLC. Customer beware!

We were a little disappointed in that we couldn't really see the water from the porch, just a few tidal pools quite a way off. Lots of noise and traffic from the neighbors, didn't feel like we had much privacy. With no blinds or curtains on the windows felt pretty exposed. The house was very nice and made a nice weekend getaway. As a native Floridian I am used to roaches (sort of, but don't like 'em) and there were a few running around, especially in the cabinets. Probably time for a spraying.

We had a perfect time at your beautiful treehouse. It
was great! Got some much needed rest and relaxation.
I recommended it to my parents as well.
Good Afternoon, Craig,
We just got back home from our weekend in Cedar Key. What an absolutely perfect weekend it was!!!!!!!! Your house was wonderful and accommodated all of us beautifully! I left the key on the counter in the kitchen by the sink and locked the door. All the trash has been carried out to the curb, and all the dishes are clean. The last batch washed are clean and in the dishwasher. We put all the dirty towels on top of the dryer. The towels in the master bedroom closet are folded and clean. There are also towels that we found in a chest of drawers in that bedroom, but we did not use those. All the bedding on the beds needs to be washed and the green pillow cases on the pillows in the master bedroom closet were used also. We enjoyed so much sitting in the evenings on the porch, and we had breakfast every morning out there too. My 11 year old son wants to move to Cedar Key, he loved it so much. This is the child that was "bored" on the Caribbean cruise we took for Thanksgiving! The food at Tony's Seafood was as good as you said, and the shopping was terrific with all the quaint buildings and unique items made by local artisans. My daughter in-law is more than 8 months pregnant, and she loved just sitting and resting in the comfort of the great room. My granddaughter loved watching the birds, and we were able to watch the osprey's nest across the marsh with the binoculars that we found on the book shelf. We listened to all the Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, etc. CD's while we napped in the afternoons. Some of my sons took advantage of the moped and kayak rentals and a grand time was had by all. Thank you, thank you for all the wonderful preparation and communication you did for us before we arrived. You were a great host --even in absentia!!
