Description of the Centerville vacation cottage rental

The cottage is located in a great neighborhood on the West Hyannisport/Centerville line and is 4/10th of a mile to the beach! The house has been completely remodeled and includes all new appliances,1 Bath, and a vaulted 640 sq ft great room with french doors to a large deck.

The cottage is a non-smoking environment!

The house has 3 bedrooms with 1 queen, 1 full and 2 twin beds. We provide linens and towels that will need to be laundered at the end of your stay. Most people prefer to bring their own for ease when checking out.

Amenities include: Outside shower, 14x16 deck, large fenced in back yard, WiFi, Cable TV, DVD, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, gas grill and whole house air conditioner. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and pots/pans.

We also provide a beach permit that will allow for you to use any of the 9 beaches (including resident only) in Barnstable without having to pay for parking.

Come for a week or weekend and play in the sun, enjoy the changing seasons, shop, bike, play golf or go sailing in the harbor or to the islands.

Area Information

The house is in a great location. You are less than 1 mile to 2 great beaches - Covell Beach 4/10ths of a mile and Craigville Beach 7/10ths of a mile.

You are 2 miles from downtown Hyannis where you can enjoy shopping and great restaurants. You are also 2 miles from the Melody Tent where you can enjoy great concerts and Hyannis Harbor where you can take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.

There is a supermarket, liquor store and a fish market (lobsters anyone!) 1 mile from the house.

Other Fees: We expect that you will clean the cottage and leave it as you found it. Cleaning supplies are available. If you prefer, we will have the cottage cleaned for an additional $150. This needs to be arranged prior to your rental period. If the cottage is not clean upon inspection we will deduct $150. from the security deposit.

Perfect Cape Vacation Rental

We (4 adults and a 4-year-old boy, plus 1 dog) had a fantastic time in this adorable Centerville cottage. We mostly stayed close by and went to Covell's or Craigville beaches (parking pass included, or a short bike ride). We also took easy day-trips to the Vineyard and P-Town. The cottage itself is meticulously updated & very well-provisioned. Everyone loved the fenced yard (especially our dog!) - we played frisbee, badminton, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower. We used the lobster pot to cook lobsters twice (even made lobster omelettes for breakfast). The AC was great and helped us keep cool on the hot nights. Plenty of convenient places to go close by in Barnstable/Hyannis. Amenities all really close (Star Market, Liquor store, Dunkin Donuts, etc) Fishing at Sandy Neck in the early morning yielded us a 38" Striper for fish tacos! Note for dog owners: Talk To The Paws Dog Daycare is 10 minutes away and is really convenient for watching dogs when you go on day trips! The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly - we would return here again in the future! This cottage is a really great value at the rental cost - it is highly recommended!

Spent a thoroughly enjoyable week here in July 2012. Cottage has absolutely everything that will be required for a family holiday and Rose (the owner) is a big help with suggestions on places to go - also some advice as to what is not worth the effort. Location is handy for Hyannis and all the Barnstable beaches and the beach pass that comes with the property is excellent - as the beach parking is a bit of a racket at $20 per visit otherwise. Also like the fact that you leave the property neat and tidy as you found it and no sneaky cleaning costs added to your cost. The nearest beach is about 15 minutes walk away. Supermarkets and other amenities are within 5 - 10 mins drive. Happy to use this property again and will highly recommend to friends who may be in the Cape.
