Description of the Chamberlain vacation cottage rental

Seasonal oceanfront cottage. 4 bedrooms / 1 bath. $1150 per week (+7% Maine lodging tax) Sleeps 8: one queen; one full; 4 twin beds (there's also a fold out couch, plus two additional couches on the ground floor). Beautiful views to Monhegan Island. Within walking distance of a small, uncrowded beach. Wi-fi, cable TV, DVD player, fireplace, gas grill. $350 deposit required (refundable if we can rent the week you booked). Large, open living/dining area with two large picture windows. Full kitchen, with a two basin sink, gas range, microwave, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, and plenty of pots, pans and bakeware. No smoking.

Area Information

On the beautiful Pemaquid Peninsula, you'll find virtually no crowds, great beaches, the famous Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, as well as lots of family fun and great restaurants.

New Harbor is home to Shaw's Wharf (great seafood and more) and the Hardy Boat Cruises (arguably the best way to see Puffins in Maine or to visit Monhegan Island, 10 miles off the coast with its high cliffs and artists' galleries), two ice cream shops, and Reilly's grocery store.

Damariscotta is a short drive for a local movie theatre, large grocery store, a well-stocked book store, numerous restaurants, and shops aplenty.

Round Pond, about 15 minutes by car, offers "penny candy," ice cream, toys, books, and more at the Granite Hall Store. The Anchor Inn provides great food and a great view, and Muscongus Bay Lobster has fresh seafood to enjoy on the dock.

Easy going summer time fun!

March 26, 2013

Our time at this camp was full of relaxed and happy memories. The overall atmosphere of the camp has a very comfortable and open feel. Our children still talk about it and can't wait to return this summer. We love so much about this camp, very close location to a great kids beach, tidal pools, and our favorite lobster spot. Watching the fishing boats leave in the morning or seeing the moon reflecting over the ocean in the evening is one of the best ways to enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine!

Peace and Quiet and stunning views right from the 2 large picture windows. The views change constantly. Tons of room for large families yet cozy and romantic for 2. Close to fantastic restaurants. Great price. We are going back this summer!!!
