Description of the Charlotte vacation cottage rental
No matter where you look you'll see nothing but trees. Backwoods Lodge is surrounded by trees which gives you the privacy you deserve while relaxing on your vacation. But wait, don't think this means that there's nothing but a screen porch, beautiful seclusion, and all the comforts of home... just a short walk will take you to the U.S. Olympic Whitewater Center. This place alone can keep you busy for a whole week! However, there's still even more!
Lowe's Motor Speedway is just 25 minutes away! Carowinds is just 20 minutes away! Then if you want to go 'Uptown Charlotte', that's just a short 15 minute drive from the Lodge. You and your kids will love Discovery Place & the Omni Max Theater! There's football, basketball, baseball & hockey! Again, all within 20 miles from the Lodge. Why not some fishing or boating, there's a boat landing just 2 miles away on the Catawba River.
The list of things to do goes on and all are within 30 miles. Who wants to spend all day in the car when everything is so close by. Come to the Lodge and have some fun!
Backwoods lodge sits on 5 wooded acres at the end of a private road. There are miles of trails at the Whitewater Center that can keep you and you dog busy for hours. There's mountain biking, rock climbing and kayaking. There are live bands and other weekly entertainment at the Center.
However, if solitude is what you want, then solitude is what you'll get! know matter what window you look out of and in what direction, you'll see nothing but trees. You can enjoy the best of what the city has to offer then settle into the country-life here at Backwoods. You may see deer, racoons, coyotes, rabbits, turkeys, and owls while you rest here at home.
The lodge is designed for our handicapped family members. There is a lift, spacious areas for mobility, large roll-in shower with bench, accessible queen size bedroom.
Pets are welcome with a $25 Fee each.

- Deposits: There is a $250.00 per week deposit which will roll over into the damage deposit. This deposit is refunded within 10 days after your stay as long as the house is left in the same condition it was in when you arrived.

We all had the best time! Ages 40-89. We laughed til we cried. Enjoyed the screened porch a lot. Great hiking trails! Went to the Whitewater Center for some fun! The solitude was just what we all needed. The trees were in bloom and it couldn't have been more perfect! Thanks for providing a place we could ALL enjoy together!
