It has A/C, hi-speed wireless internet,a new wide-screen HD TV, new carpeting throughout the house, is on a no-outlet street so it is safe for children and is just a stone's throw from lovely conservation land at the end of the street. Pets are also considered with the approval of the landlords. If you prefer to drive and park at the beach, there is ample parking as well. The house is well-equipped with a stack washer/dryer in the kitchen area, a dishwasher, microwave, cable TV, DVD and CD players, and there is a lovely fireplace in the living room for the occasional cool summer evening by the fire. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the 2nd bedroom has twin beds, and there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This is a cozy, quaint Cape Cod home that you will remember for many years to come if you choose it as your vacation home this year.

Great weekend

Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you could need. The kitchen had no supplies like tea, coffee or sugar (most places we have stayed at have those basics). Very quiet dead end road. We would recommend This home to friends.

Owner's reply:

Thank you for your review, Angela. This is the first time in our 50 years of renting that anyone has mentioned these items as we thought people would prefer their own brands of tea and coffee, but we will certainly consider it for another season. We appreciate your suggestion and appreciate your taking the time to write us a review. We hope you had an enjoyable vacation in our home. The Perrys

A choice we were glad we made

This rental was choice. It had every thing we needed. Close to every where we wanted to go. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Pet friendly which is a plus. We loved Chatham. Great restaurants, beautiful area, entertainment, and lovely shops. The Nantucket Sound and Marshes are just beautiful. Walking was just great with all the natural scenery around us. We just had a wonderful time.

Eleanor Perry

Owner's reply:

Judy, thank you so much for your lovely review. We really appreciate your comments and are so pleased you enjoyed our home and our beloved Cape Cod as well. We have traveled all over the world in retirement and we came back to the Cape saying there is no place more beautiful! It was a pleasure having you as tenants and we hope you will come back again. Perfect Cape Get Away!

We could not have had a better week in Chatham! The weather was perfect and the cottage was just what we were looking for. We were able to bring our golden retriever and found a great pet friendly beach for her about 10 minutes away. The area is close to the bike trail, ponds and warm water ocean beaches. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners Eleanor and Richard upon arrival. They were a wealth of information about the area. We were lucky to extend our stay an extra night. The cottage is on a very quiet and safe street and has all the comforts needed for a peaceful vacation. We will definitely come back in the future!

Eleanor Perry

Owner's reply:

It was a pleasure meeting the Cuddys and we are so pleased that they had such a good vacation in our home. They were lovely people and we hope we will see them again in the future.

Quaint vacation, great location

Wonderful place to stay in Chatham. Great location. Extremely close to many beaches. I would suggest you bring bicycles because there is so much to see within riding distance. The bike trail is just down the road on 137. Place was clean and comfortable. Located in a nice , quite neighborhood.

Eleanor Perry

Owner's reply:

Thank you, Barbara. We enjoyed meeting you and your daughter. We are glad you had a pleasant vacation in our home

Our week at the Cape

We had a terrific time in Chatham. We love the town and the surrounding area. The restaurants were wonderful (except for Pate's - very bad meal there) and we found the most delicious ice cream at School House Ice Cream. We did go to Cockle Cove beach once but there were so many stones and broken shells in the water so we tried Hardings Beach and that was great -- we had so much fun in the waves. We had lovely weather and ate breakfast everyday outside at the picnic table. The street where the house is was so nice and quiet and peaceful -- it was lovely. Except for one broken twin bed we slept soundly every night - we were thinking that the Perry's didn't know one of the twin beds was broken and made terrible noises when you moved on it. It was wonderful to have such a nice place to take our son's little Boston Terrier to -- she was so happy to be us. The yard was clean for her. One other small thing is that there was no good frying pan to use. There were 2 and they were badly scratched and it's not safe to cook in a teflon pan where the teflon is all scratched off and then we had a very hard time trying to wash them. But everything else that we could have possibly needed was there for our comfort.

Eleanor Perry

Owner's reply:

We thank the Smaglos for their review and we are glad they had a good time on the Cape. However, we wished they had called us about the bed and the fry pan as we are on the Cape and are responsive to our tenants' wishes and desires if they will just tell us about them. We give them our cell phone numbers on the lease so they can reach us easily at any time 24/7. We will take care of these issues today. There was a sturdy chair broken and dog urine spots on the carpets when they vacated.

Great Vacation

My family really enjoyed staying in this very comfortable and pleasant cottage. The location was wonderful, on a quiet lane, within walking distance to the beach (10 minutes). Stores and restaurants were within a short drive away. The air condtiioning was a big plus, since we experienced several very hot and muggy days. There was also a nice sized yard. Best of all, we were allowed to bring our dog, which was especially wonderful for us and the owners were very friendly and accommodating.

Eleanor Perry

Owner's reply:

Thank you so much for your kind remarks and it was a real pleasure meeting you both. We love having thoughtful tenants like yourselves and please know you are welcome back any time! We are glad you had a wonderful vacation in our home. The Perrys

The Perry's Cottage at Chatam

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in the Perry's cottage in Chatam. We enjoyed the stay for the week, particularly the nature surroundings of the cottage. It's a very calm, peaceful, quiet, relaxing and surreal cottage with a country theme. We were in heaven being away from the city and spending time within nature and within a cottage that was extremely welcoming. The Perry's are wonderful and accomodating people and we definately will return for our first year anniversary. Definatley 5 Golden Stars. Sincerely, Mayra Velez-Marrero

8/1/09-8/15/09 We had an amazing two weeks here. Everything was so nice! We are from Durham, CT and we were searching for a place to stay in Cape Cod and found you online. We made a great choice! There are several nice beaches close by and we were lucky enough to have nice weather most of the time. Besides the beach we enjoyed going fishing, crabbing, biking, and playing tennis and basketball at the school. Thank you so much. This was an amazing vacation and the house was very nice! The B's

7/25-8/1/09 Our time at Cranberry Way was lovely. Just the right size for the three of us; quiet and somewhat secluded. We joked that this was part beach vacation and part Adirondeck vacation, nestled here in the pines as we are. Weather was great - good combination of sun and clouds and mostly dry. Humidity high, but that's perfect at the beach. We spent lots of time on Cockle Cove Beach but did venture north to Coast Guard Beach one day. Big difference - beautiful. Had a terrific afternoon at Woods Hole. But our big adventure was a day in Boston. Took the P-town fast ferry over for a Red Sox game!...So we had a great week and wish we could stay for another. Taking home about 20 lbs. of beach rocks (can't resist them), lots of sand, and hopes that we will return some day soon. Thanks for the hospitality. The K's, Rochester, NY

10/08 Never had such peace and quiet on a vacation. Your house was just perfect for the 4 of us. Chatham is a beautiful town and the Phil's win was a bonus. Tom and Mary Ann R., Pat and Mary H. Montgomery Co. PA

10/2-10/6 Peace and quiet, the Cape in autumn, a perfect gift for one's milestone birthday. It was a pleasure to return to the CC National Seashore and memories of years ago when we first met. Your home felt like home and we hope to return again. Sincerely, Jane, Bob and "Jake"

9/11-9/14 Many thanks for sharing your wonderful cottage with us. The weather did not daunt us, although the very curious seals in Chatham harbor made kayaking more exhilarating than we might have liked. A beautifully quiet neighborhood - lovely beaches - our pics will be long remembered. Again, a sincere thank you. The D's.

8/24-9/1 Thanks for sharing this sweet cottage with us. We had a very fine, relaxing time. Here are some of our favorites: -waking to the sound of birds - going on a quest for the best soft serve cone - Ridgevale Beach - also a nice day at Nauset Beach - spending a rainy day singing old show tunes - the pies at Marion's - Brewster Country Store - doing a puzzle - laughing about nothing in particular - relaxing, relaxing, relaxing. The C's and R's

8/9/08 We had a fantastic time in Chatham! We felt very much at home here. It was a perfect place for our kids to safely play in the yard. We had a great week touring around Chatham and surrounding areas. Our favorite day was hanging out at the beach by the Chatham lighthouse!! We enjoyed miniature golf and watching the Chatham A's game too! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We look forward to another vacation next summer in Chatham! Thank you Perry family. The G's, Exeter, NY

9/14-9/21 Fifteenth wedding anniversary for us. Returned to Orleans where we became engaged; checked out all old haunts in Chatham from back-in-that-day; and hardly took notice of "Black Monday" (9/15) on Wall Street - although we'll no doubt pay for it later. But what a lovely cottage! And how can you beat September swimming in Nantucket Sound? Marion's Pie Shop increased our girth! New England weather required A/C yesterday and heat today! Suddenly it's mid-autumn after arriving in late summer. Best Fish N'Chips and Lobsters ever from Nickerson's and where did "Vinings" come from? What a great restaurant. Thanks to the Perrys for sharing a wonderful Cape Cod cottage that was always a joy to return to. Steve and Molly, Leesburg, VA
