Description of the Chatham vacation home rental

Cape cod home on the shores of South Chatham. The main floor constists of an eat in kitchen, living room / dining room with three picture windows, a brick fireplace, a four window reading room facing the ocean, and a full bathroom with an accessable shower. The upstairs sleeping area has a master bedroom with a queen size bed, two bedrooms with two twin beds in each room, and a full size marble bathroom with a skylight. There are also decks off the main and upstairs areas facing the picturesque ocean

the weather was beautiful, the ocean came right up to the deck, 1/2 mile of ocean beach to walk on (it is a public beach). the house is roomy and well decorated; my favorite room is the "sun" room. two problems for me were: the beds were extremely uncomfortable; a large parking lot is adjacent to the house. cars and trucks are constantly driving into and out of the lot - many of them are loud and disturb what otherwise could be a very restful vacation. if it weren't for the parking lot, i would rent there again.

I stayed here with a group of 5 friends. Very clean and very comfortable beach house. The back decks are absolutely spectacular (with a private staircase going down to the beach) as is the view. You simply cannot be any closer to the ocean. The house is located at the end of a quiet road next to a public beach. The road is off of Route 28, the main road, so everything is very accessable. Downtown Chatham is a 5-10 minute drive and you're also very close to other Cape towns like Harwich, Yarmouth, Dennis and Hyannis. There's a big mall about 20-30 minutes away down Route 28 and plenty of shops, ice cream parlors, mini-golfs, etc. along the way. Everything you read about on this webpage about the cottage is true. Richard and Cathy could not have been better people to deal with and if you choose to spend your vacation at this house, I guarantee you will not be sorry. Without a doubt, I will be back.
