Vacation Rental Description

This charming landmark home in Chatham is available for the first time for rent for the summer of 2006. This wonderful home is available weekly from June through September (one of the nicest months of the year on the Cape)or preferably for the entire season at a negotiated rate. The house sits up on a sloping acre of manicured landscaped land overlooking the Oyster River with the town landing below which makes this ideal for boaters. There is a shady front porch overlooking the view or a sunny patio at the back of the house to relax in total privacy. The house consists of 2 master bedrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second both with private bathrooms. There is a separate area at the rear upper level of the house, ideal for children, consisting of two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is a large living room, additonal seating area above the sunken living room, large dining room and gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, cherry cabinets and granite counter tops. There is also a large utility room with washer, dryer and sink.

Area Description

The Oyster River access is perfect for boaters as it leads out to Stage Harbor with access to Nantucket Sound or the beaches of South Beach and Monomoy where one can anchor for the day and go ashore for some of the most spectacular beaches and nature walks in the Northeast. The town of Chatham is the most desirable destination on the Cape offering the charm of a small quaint fishing village with the advantage of world class shopping and restaurants. There is a newly built bike path that covers most of the Upper Cape as well as activities for children such as Chatham A's baseball games and the traditional Friday night band concerts. There are numerous arts and crafts fairs throughout the summer if you get tired of relaxing at the house or on the beach!!!
