Description of the Chattanooga vacation cabin rental
A mere 15 minutes to the Chattanooga Choo Choo and 20 minutes to Lookout Mountain and it's many attractions. You can even take a beautiful 45 minute drive to White Water Rafting on the Ocoee river. This home offers five bedrooms, and two more sleeping areas in the spacious loft. Beds are as follows: 2 King, 1 Daybed with trundle that will make a King or 2 twins. 5 Queen beds and a baby bed. Sleeps 14 comfortably! Ground level bath and bedroom for grandparents comfort. Diningroom seperate from kitchen, and kitchen seating as well.

The King Beds on the main level had good mattresses and the loft area was good for our grandchildren. The view was amazing and the campfires a real treat for the grandchildren. I would have ranked this much higher but upon our arrival the kitchen counters were stained, coffee grinds in the pot and crumbs in the cultery drawer.So I spent my 1st hour there cleaning the kitchen and sweeping the outdoor decks. We had some mix up with the billing but it was quickly resolved.

Our sincere apology for the mixup and the kitchen counter and crumbs. we make every effort to make sure that the cleaning is thorough, and sometimes, the cleaning ladies have been distracted or just overlooked something. All you need to do, is give us a call and we will always be glad to make sure you are taken care of. Our customers are our priority! Without them, we would not be in business. Celebrating a 60th Wedding anniv family reunion

My parents are celebrating their 60th anniversary. They have retired to Florida, leaving my brother and me in Ohio with our families. We wanted to spend time with them to celebrate the accomplishment. This cabin was fantastic. There were 14 of us from 79 to 8 years of age. My parents loved being out in a quiet location. We all loved being close to the river. It really was a very nice place to spend time together. Chattanooga offered more things to do than we could in the time we had. We plan to return when we can. One of the best places we have met.

A cozy, family retreat
August 14, 2012
Southwind will always hold a special memory for our family. We gathered from 3 different states for the wedding of our daughter in Chattanoga. We all enjoyed the river setting, the big comfy couch, the big dining table where we gathered for dinner, and later, a fun game of Balderdash. The rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all we needed to prepare meals. We loved the screened in porch - wish we could have enjoyed the outside porch more - much rain. The hot tub was a welcome perk, though the jets didn't all work. We are already talking about coming back to Southwind in the future.

Beautiful location....

I reserved this for our annual large family Christmas gathering. The Christmas decor was great, along with the lodge theme. Beds were comfortable. View of the river was probably one of the best features, along with a fire pit and enclosed hot tub. Some of our family would like to return to it in the spring or summer to take advantage of the fishing. Proximity to downtown Chattanooga was wonderful. I had a chance to meet the owner when we were checking out - she was very friendly. Definately would recommend! Thanks for helping our family vacation have some much-needed great memories!

Comfortable, cozy and inviting. Rocking chairs were a big hit with the adults and children. My 8th month old grandson LOVED the little one just for him. Beds were comfortable and when we did have a problem, the solution was just a phone call away with a speedy correction. I would recommend this location to everyone wanting a peaceful escape but still close to town.

Very nice cabin. View was amazing didn't like having to 2 other houses on same property sharing. But meeting the other cabin residents were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much so and would do it again.

Our family..is tired- alot has gone on this past year. we were looking for a spot to have fun AND relax. That is what we got. the view,,,the hot tub..everyone had plenty of space so no tempers flared. We felt better when we left instead of tired and worse. THank you so much!

Best of both worlds

We had a lovely time, you not only get to enjoy the beautiful tennessee river with a boat ride down town to enjoying the beautiful mountains. We love the boating and the mountains, this may well be the place we chose to retire. The service in the cabins was great, the parking not so much. But we worked it out. We had three different families, we went downtown and enjoyed the many things to do. Lookout mountain was beautiful and so was Rock City. The guys went white water rafting, while the women and children went to the zoo. The place was very peaceful. We were their seven days and we still did not get to do all the things the area had to offer. The owner of the cabin sugested a place called Nickies drive in to enjoy seafood it was five star the service was great. Thanks to everyone their that made our stay so enjoyable.

Easter Family Reunion
May 4, 2011
We arrived on Thursday and departed on Sunday. We had 9 adults and 6 children ages 4-18. The facilities were excellent. We did have a problem getting the oven door to close properly. The sink in the downstairs bathroom did not have adequate water flow. The beds were all comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub dailey. We built a fire in the fire pit. We fished off the bank. We do plan to book the same cabin during April of next year.
