Description of the Chattanooga vacation cottage rental
A cozy, romantic retreat, with picturesque scenery. Perfect for any weather. Romance is sure to be inspired by the cozy fireplace, outside Hot-Tub, deck and view. One bedroom plus a loft sleeping area. Two skylights give plenty of light to this adobe style interior. Fully equipped with washer/dryer, gas grill, and full kitchen. Located only 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga attractions and shopping for your convenience. Why stay anywhere else when you could stay here? Sleeps 2 - 4 people.
Area Information
Located on the Tennessee River at the foot of Prentice Cooper Wildlife Preserve with Hiking Trails, Great Wall of Tennessee, The Grand Canyon of Tennessee and so much more. It will be hard to believe that you can be in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga and its many eateries and attractions in about 10-15 minutes. But you won't see the city lights from this wonderful little house, but you might see falling stars, soothing river, eagles soaring, turkeys, deer, bobcats and an occational fox. (Sorry, we do not usually have any Bears here, even if your husband tells you we do...) We do have great fishing!

Rivendell exists!

January 12, 2015

35 states under our belts, 15 to go, and our 4th stay in Tennessee eclipsed the other Volunteer State visits combined. The comfort level...A...Interstate access...A...cleanliness...A.. owner...A. iIf you love comfort, beauty, nature, food and fun, you would be wise to stay here. The river view\sounds are amazing. Those of you who KNOW Tolkien (the books) will see Rivendell. Enjoy it while you can, we're going to see if our credit union lets us make an offer!

beautiful and great location

July 29, 2014

Escaped to Chattanooga for a 3 day get away with my boyfriend. The cabin was really nice and beer clean. It really is just a short ten minute drive to the tourist area of Chattanooga. We loved being right on the water and very secluded. A few things we weren't 100% happy with 1) there are two other very large cabins on the property. The first night we were the only ones and it was perfect. The second night a family of 12 moved in next door and it got a wee less quiet and romantic. 2) while they do provide dishes, towels and linens. There is no soap. No hand soap in the bathroom. Nothing in the kitchen to wash dishes with. If we'd known, we'd brought it with us. But since we didn't, we ended up having to make a Wal-Mart run late the first night. 3) the "on deck" hot tub is actually tucked on the side of the cabin down a flight of stairs and in a little hole. it's good for 2 people and clean, but You can't see the water from it and it's kind of claustrophobic down there. 4) finally, we were really turned off by the number and tone of rules and reminders posted around the cabin. A simple check out list and rule list is one thing. But it felt like everywhere you turned there was another rule posted and perhaps the owner thought they're tone was funny, but it just came across rude and snarky. Things like "if you choose not to wash the towels before you leave, you better leave $100 on the table".... really? $100? Well, with that said, we would actually go back here as the price is very good for what you get.

Wonderful vacation home!

This is a beautiful home for a quiet weekend away. My boyfriend and I spent Memorial Day weekend here and cannot wait to go back! The pictures do not do the home justice. Quiet, romantic, great fishing. We had a wonderful time. I definitely recommend staying here!

fun location

The Shed lives up to its name. The converted outbuilding has all the amenities you need for a weekend away. We loved being across from the flight park and actually book a hangliding experience. Privacy for the dogs, although not alot of room for them to roam. Enjoyed it.

Expectations exceeded.

This was such a relaxing and comfortable cabin. We enjoyed the deck and hottub in the January mist, and the tugboats at night. the kitchen was well equiped to cook a nice meal while remaining in good company of those in the living area. Back windows and deck overlook the river and the wooded hills across the river. Gaslog fireplace in living room very nice. Lots of hot water and good heat! We enjoyed Lookout Mtn in the mist and walking across the pedestrian bridge and through town! Would definitely stay in this little house again!
