Description of the Chazy Lake vacation cottage rental

Chazy Lake is quiet and uncrowded it is about five miles long in the northern end of the Adirondack State Park in a valley surrounded by mountains. The lake is clean and pristine so every pebble and speck of sand can be seen.It is a great place to get away from it all-no phone,no computer,no TV just a DVD player and a stereo. The picturesque cottage sits directly on the shore and when looking out of the gigantic three double front windows you feel like you are on a boat. Here you can sit and watch the sun come up and easily keep your eyes on the children as they romp on their own private dock. Adjacent to the house is a very large open lawn area great for soccer, volleyball, softball or just tag. There is a brook and woods to play in plus horseshoe pits. Outside the door to the right is your private firepit and clothes line. There is a gas grill and a picnic table. There is great fishing off the dock or the row boat. There are kayaks and a trampoline raft with a log roll. The gradual sandy swimming beach is perfect for children. The cottage is situated on a secluded lot with 300ft of lakefront and the property is not visible from the road. All you need is a bathing suit and a beach towel. What are you waiting for?

While it is a quiet relaxing setting, even in peak summer season, conviences like groceries, banking, churches, gasoline, ect. are nearby in Dannemora, approx. 15-20 min. drive from the cottage. The property is located on a paved dead end road, ideal for walking and biking. Numerous hiking trails are also nearby. Restaurants, shopping, movies and other amenites of a small city are found in Plattsburgh, about 20 miles away. Day trip include Ferry to Burlington, Vt. where you can visit Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Ben and Jerry's, Shelburne Museum ect. about one hours drive. Or go an hour drive to the Olympic Center in Lake Placid with the High Peaks Area and ride the gondola up Whiteface Mountain. Montreal is a 90 min ride and it boasts the LaRonde Amusement Park. Malone's Golf Course is a 30 min.drive. Other trips could include Ausable Chasm(40min.),Park Safari(60min.),High Falls Gorge(50min.), Native American Reservation-casino,gas,cigarettes(60min.). But I'll bet my bottom dollar the children will fight to stay and just enjoy the lake and that's what you came to do any way, NO?

children just love to play in the lake with all the water toys. We have a little tikes sliding board which can be put into the water and we have that little house that the windows and doors open. Little riding toys and bikes. The older ones want to race to the trampoline and see who can make it over the log. They can kayak along the water's edge. We also have a bridge that goes over our brook and children play in the brook forever and there are woods around for them to explore. We have a tree that was uprooted and they use it as their fort. We have wild strawberries and rasberries to pick in season. It is just the perfect place to just sit and relax while the children have a wonderfull time playing. Just bring a lot of food. They get quite hungry running around.

• Deposits: $400 damage deposit must be received to hold the cottage for the requested week. This $400 refundable if cottage is left the way you found it and the number of occupants matches the number agreeded upon.. Cleaning supplies will be provided. There will be $100 cleaning fee if it needs to be cleaned.
   
• Other Fees: Pets considered for an additional fee-depends on size and breed.
