Description of the Chestertown vacation home rental

Nestled on 3 private acres full of tall pines, the front deck offers filtered lake views. The footpath to one of two private, sandy beaches is directly across from the house. On that beach you'll find your dock, some chairs to enjoy the view and a paddle boat to cruise around the lake on. The second beach is located a few houses down at the end of this quiet dead-end road.
Beautifully furnished and immaculately maintained, this home features an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, cozy fireplace and two decks (front and rear) to enjoy the views. With one bedroom/bath on the first floor and two bedrooms and a bath on the second, it's ideal for two couples or a family.
The living and dining rooms have cathedral ceilings with a balcony hallway for the upstairs bedrooms. On the first floor there is:a rear deck with gas bbq, sitting room with skylights, gourmet kitchen with granite counters and breakfast bar, dining room, living room with fireplace and queen-size pull out sofa, bedroom with two twin beds and a bath. There is also a large front deck with a patio set and lounge chairs.
Upstairs the master bedroom has a queen-size bed, the other bedroom has two twin beds and they share a full bath. On the lower level there is a one car garage and laundry room with washer and dryer.

Area Description

Loon Lake and the two private beaches we access offer excellent fishing, boating,water sports and spetacular sunsets. Loon Lake Marina is about 1/4 mile away providing rentals and supplies for these activities. Hiking,cycling and climbing areas abound. Just minutes away there are great restaurants, charming local shops,an historic railroad,the Hudson and Schroon Rivers for rafting/kayaking/canoeing;spelunking,horseback riding,golf and mini-golf are all available. Gore Mountain offers gondola rides and mountain biking. Lake George (parasailing, steamboat rides,etc.), Great Escapes Amusement Park and Saratoga Racetrack and Perfoming Arts Center are a short drive away.

Check Out: 11 a.m.
Required Stay: 2 nights Spring & Fall; Weekly (Sat-Sat) July & August
Deposits: Fifty percent required at time of booking. Balance due one month prior to arrival along with a $300 security deposit.

Relaxing trip, May 27, 2008

Had a great time at this remote cabin on Loon lake. House was perfect and made us feel right at home. Cozy, roomy, and quiet. 10 minute drive to the store which was convenient when perfect location to explore the whole Adirondacks... Only thing I would chnage was to have a internet in the vicinity...
