Area Description
THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS A COMBINATION OF CONDO OWNERS AND
RENTALS. THERE IS A STRIP MALL WITH A LARGE GROCERY STORE,
AND OTHER SHOPS SOUTH OF US. THERE ARE A VARIETY OF SHOPPING NORTH OF US, EAST OF US IS OLD TOWN AND RUSH STREET, BUT ALL IN WALKING DISTANCE. AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS NEARBY, SENIOR APARTMENTS ARE IN THIS AREA AS WELL.

My family and I enjoyed staying here.The place was spacious for our 4 kids(6-16yrs) and very clean.It was a great location,close to downtown as well as the lake. Great for a big family., June 17, 2008

Six of us, 4 adults and 2 teenagers stayed in a unit that isn't pictured. It had the perfect sleeping set-up for us, 2 queens and 2 singles in 3 rooms. We liked the neighborhood and walked to both Michigan Ave and the Royal George theatre. There was a great fitness place and numerous restaurants within walking distance. While there were lots of brochures for attractions I think a list of local businesses and perhaps bus and train info from the landlady would have helped. I actually got most of my neighborhood info off an info sheet for a property for sale 3 houses over. We had a few issues of things needing to be replaced but that was taken care of immediately and the landlady was very nice and easy to deal with. Based on location, price and room for a large group to eat, sleep and hang out I would recommend it. Nice Place, Great deal, May 21, 2008

We stayed here over three nights this past weekend (May 16th to 19th). It was perfect for us. Three bedrooms, one with two singles, one with a double and one with a Queen. The neighbourhood is quite nice, with some very nice modern townhouses. We never felt anything but safe. Great location. We took taxis pretty much everywhere we went (all major Chicago attractions) and it ranged from $8-$15
($8 took us to Lincoln Park, Millenium Park, bars downtown, etc.)
($15 took us out to Wrigley Field, Shedd Aquarium). The Magnificant Mile is within walkable distance, if you really want to (it took us about 25 minutes, but we doddled).
Anyway, the place was great, I would recommend it and would go back myself, no problems.

The apartment is as pictured, and is perfectly nice enough for your stay in Chicago. It is no frills, but was clean and inviting.
The neighborhood is a little dodgy - sort of on the edge between a super swanky area, and a more run down area. It did feel safe though, and we did not feel uncomfortable in the area, although we were not walking - we had a car. It *is* very convenient to a lot of amenities though, and is very close to downtown.
The owner/landlady is SUPER nice. Very helpful, and very responsive.
We did have one issue, but the owner was very understanding and handled the situation well. I wholeheartedly believe that she has taken care of it and it should not be an issue for future guests, so I don't want to elaborate in the review. Owner Supplied Testimonials
This was the most conveniently located, comfortable, pleasant, and affordable rental ever. My stay was wonderful. Thanks for everything.
