Description of the Chicago vacation apartment rental

A great location in the North side area. The apartment is in a 'yuppie' area close to Starbucks, Whole Foods and numerous bars and restaurants. Just half a block from the Lake, the apartment is within walking distance of Wrigley Field (Cubs). The CTA station (Sheridan) is a five minute walk. The Loop and Michigan Avenue is a five minute drive down scenic Lake Shore Drive. The McCormick Place Convention Center is a ten minute drive down Lake Shore Drive depends on traffic.

Area Information

Located in the Lakeview neighborhood, within walking distance of Wrigley Field. A half-block from the lake and Lake Shore Drive. Less than a five-minute walk to the CTA red line (Sheridan) About Ten-minute driving to the Loop and Michigan Avenue .
Numerous bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.

Good Location

May 9, 2012

Went to Chicago to see Sox and twice to see Cubs. Wrigley is about 3/4 miles from the condo and an easy walk. Red and Brown lines about 1/2 mile. Also close to the action on Broadway, Halsted and a bit further on Clark. Condo was clean and in a nice, secure building. When they say it sleeps six, perhaps but I would find that quite cramped. Would have liked to have seen the kitchen better equipped with cooking supplies, but it contains the basics. Except for some work being done on the exterior of the building where the unit is located, it was quiet. Would stay there again.

The apartment is north of the center, but it is easy to get there. The rooms are clean and the a have everything you need. Expect the mattress and the bed in the living room is not the best! The owners honey and ian are very very friendly and helpful - never had such nice owners!!!!!

Beautiful Apartment

We had a wonderful visit to Chicago. The apartment was lovely - very new, clean, well decorated in safe and convenient neighborhood. The bed was comfortable, the heating worked well and the water pressure was good. The owners live nearby and picking up the key could not have been easier. We liked it so much that we recommended it to a friend. Parking was a little difficult, especially since we drove a lot. We had trouble finding street parking and the car needed to be moved from the nearby lot in the morning. A note to families -We traveled with an infant and the "crib" provided was not really a crib but more a glorified changing pad. We ended up borrowing a friend's pack n' play. I would check with the owners to see if they now provide a more stable crib.

Super Nice! Great Deal! Fantastic City!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this condo for a long weekend in August to see the Red Sox play the White Sox and to see a Cubs v. Cards game. It's very close to Wrigley and about a half hour train ride to US Cellular field. Easy navigation. Train was inexpensive (3 day pass for 12.00)and the condo is only a short train ride from the airport. Clubs, restaurants, shopping all within walking distance, ESPN is a short train ride. The condo is very clean and comfortable and well-appointed. We plan on making this a yearly pilgrimage! Chicago is a most excellent place to visit. Tons of exercising paths around Lake Michigan, a superb zoo that's FREE, and Wrigley field is a classic old ball park like Fenway... all this and Ian and Honey's condo is a charmer. GO RED SOX!!!

I felt like being at home, the owner has kept evrything in the house for the guest to feel as if they are staying at home. I stayed for 4 nights and really felt sad for not staying longer. Mr.Bob has taken care of every single thing in the house, the kitchen, the shower, the bed room....overall it was a pleasent stay.
