We stayed here on business for a week. View looks out over Grant park and you can even see Navy Pier in the distance. Great location.

Just recently stayed at this vacation home and my family and I found it to be extremely convenient. It is located closed to the L stations (blue, brown, pink, green) and there are a number of grocery stores and stores close by. Everything was provided for, including towels for each guest. Alix was a great host, providing answers to all of my questions and continually telling us to call her if we had any other questions. My four stars is because the internet and TV were quite spotty during our time there, but apart from that everything else was great. I could not ask for a better experience in terms of location and price!

I booked this unit in April of 2012 after having spoke to the owner about arriving late in the evening. I got a confirmation from this website that I had booked the condo, but a phone call on the day I was to fly out lead me to realize that the owner had double booked the condo and I was out of luck. She claims that she sends personalized confirmation emails to confirm availability as they list on multiple sites, but how am I to know that? Had I not called I would have showed up at the address at 10pm the night of and had no place to stay. I ended up having to book a hotel the day of my trip and spent more than double what this would have cost me.

Although parking was impossible to find on the street, the lot next to the building was reasonable and there was an unloading area. We could walk to attractions and parks. Printer's Row was a neat place for a walk, when we needed coffee. The upstairs/downstairs layout made it great for kids, who thought the building was the best thing about our trip and liked watching the tour boats from the lobby. It was totally worth the money.

We were vrey dissapointed with the condition of the apartment. Both, bathtubs and shower curtains were filled with mold and extremely dirty. Used pieces of soap left every were including some drawers, used shower sponges. I had to call the owner to come and clean. The floors and ceelings were full of dust . The kitchen cabinets needed cleaning. We had to wash everything inside them before using. The only positive thing is its location but the whole place is beat up and poorly maintained. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT!!!! I "thought" I secured this location with a payment weeks in advance. I corresponded with Alix more than 15 times over the course of a month. Up until 1 day prior to arrival we spoke and she assured me that everythig was well. At 11pm 1 day before my arrival Alix told me she had overbooked the unit, after I paid. She told me she was sorry and that she could accommodate 5 adults in a 1 bedroom apartment. I refused she refunded my money, I STILL have not received the money. She told me it would take 5-10 business days to process. Then she told me she would have paid me in cash if she knew I was so "tight" with money. I was insulted and out of an apartment. I was in town for my college graduation and this was a disaster. I found a beautiful condo just in the nick of time. I was devastated and she was sorry. If you need a dependable reservation this is NOT the place.

The condo was FANTASTIC! We were very pleased with the place and found it convenient to everything we wanted to do. It was just a short walk to several of Chicago's best landmarks and shopping areas. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was fresh, clean and modern. It had all the amenities we needed and what it didn't have was sold downstairs in the little convenience store (albeit at convenience store prices). We loved the views out all the windows and the neighborhood felt quite safe. The condo was overwhelmingly quiet - a fact we were surprised by considering the number of residents in the building. We only had a couple of issues: the WiFi signal didn't work until the middle of the second day we were there. (It was our own fault for not checking it sooner and calling the owners) Once they came and fixed it, it was fine the rest of the weekend. Also, the computer provided is *really* slow. The only other issue was with parking. While parking is included with the cost of the rental, street-parking spaces are nearly impossible to come by unless you get there early in the day and stay put. Overall, the owners were friendly and very quick to take care of issues and the condo was perfect for what we needed. Sidenote: Dominos must be hidden somewhere close by because our late-night pizza order arrived in less than 20 mins ---on a weekend---during hockey playoffs. #BonusWIN!

The rooms were clean and the view at night was great. The parking rates are unbeatable in Chicago!!! The people we rented from were extremely helpful during our stay. I recommend the place to others.

Luckily I called to confirm our reservation the night before. We found out that they had double booked the condo. We had to find another hotel for one of the nights. We were supposed to be refunded some of our money but it took a month to recieve the money! The whole checking in seemed very sketchy and secretive. Also it was very hot and we could not turn down the thermostat.

We were thrilled when we booked this condo for our recent vacation to Chicago. The location in the city was great, the price was within our budget and it would accommodate our party of 9 (4 adults and 5 YOUNG children). Given that one should probaly note that this area is currently under construction and is in need of some renovation. If you are wheelchair bound or are pushing a stroller you may find it challenging to maneuver up and down the streets and in and out of the building. River City itself is very quiet and fairly empty and "worn" is the word we would use to describe the actual condo's interior. However, it's nothing a little paint, carpet and TLC couldn't help. I would love to see this community thrive again and hope that once updates have been made that the residents and renters will come in droves. Alix and Chan were very pleasant and accomodating to work with. We very much enjoyed our stay in Chicago and overall would rate our entire vacation in the Windy city a 10!

The condo was nice; however, we were given completely inadequate info on how to get into the condo, parking, etc. etc. We received very poor response when we had these questions. That we should have gotten well in advance of the stay. Further, the condo was not equipped to sleep 6 people. There were 2 queen beds, an airbed w/a hole, a living rm couch & small love seat, & no extra bedding, blankets, pillows. This is one of numerous online private rentals we have booked & by far, the most inadequately described, poor info provided, etc.

There were six women on this trip. The 2.5 baths therefore came in handy. The sleeping for 6 is a little cramped as 2 had a fold out couch which we knew. I saw the SEARS tower out my window as if it were Right there. THis would be even better if you had 4 persons but it did work out fine for us as we didnt mind. It was close to many attractions and it was usually only about a 8.00 taxi ride to all the major stuff. The owners were SUPER!! They were patient and accomodating. Have not heard about our deposit yet but not expecting a problem.

Well, this apartment is marginally supplied for a city center apt. No coffee grinder, no sheets for the third bed (had to have them delivered) only 4 people-sized towels (until we asked for more) two access cards for four people to share, and the shuttle (despite what we were told) never was going when or where WE were. Having said that, the location was good for convention, theatres, restaurants, shopping. Would be better for 4 people than the advertised 6. The free internet access was great.

We enjoyed are stay in this condo very much. It has TV's in each bedroom as well as the living room. We were also able to use the computer in the master bedroom which was a nice bonus. The only complaint is that the bed in the smaller bedroom is very hard. We would definitely rent this unit again.

A group of us were lucky enough to find this rental for our trip to Chicago. Not only was it a cost saver it was a home away from home. Though we did not spend a large amount of time in the unit, the time that we were there was very comfortable and spacious and had everything you would need, including the privacy that you would expect at home. The location is ideal, only a few blocks from the Sears Tower and the train stop, though we spent most of the time in downtown on foot (not something that is possible in Texas). And if you are looking for the most amazing brunch then go Orange which is conveniently 2 blocks down!

Our family stayed in this condo for the weekend to see our relative off for the Chicago-Mackinac Sailboat Race from Chicago Yacht Club and Navy Pier. Except for security which proved to be a hassle we loved everything else! We would stay there again - very nice location.

This is very nice apartment to stay when you visit the Chicago. It is spatial place with kitchen and living room in lower lever and two bedrooms in upper lever. You feel that you are at your own home. It locates by the Chicago River. It is only a few blocks away from busy down town district. It is very convenient for any occasion. Highly Recommended!!!
