There are two fully furnished apartments available at the Biddle House. These are available to rent together or separately. Each has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. Continental breakfast fixings are provided. All of our units include high speed internet (wi-fi) cable tv, and a complimentary washer and dryer in the building.

The 2nd floor apartment has one queen size bed in each bedroom and a twin size sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a single Jacuzzi tub and shower in the bathroom. The 1st floor apartment has a queen size bed in one bedroom and a double in the other bedroom. A queen size aero bed is available for use in the living room. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower.

Max occupancy per apartment is 5. Closest major intersection is North Avenue and Sedgwick Street. The neighborhood is fantastic; the brown line is also only about 1.5 blocks away. You can walk to “The Magnificent Mile” in 20 minutes.

Area Information

The Biddle House is located in Historic Old Town on a quiet tree lined street, walking distance to many wonderful restaurants, shops and the lakefront. Public transportation is terrific from this location; you can take the train (brown line) downtown in just 10 minutes!

Biddle House 1st floor.

My husband and I stayed at the Biddle House 1st floor apartment for six weeks in the Spring of 2012. We choose this property for several reasons: 1) the apartment was furnished; 2) this property welcomes families with dogs; 3) location-we were looking for an apartment in or near the Old Town Triangle neighborhood due to its' incredible charm and amenities; and 4) street parking was available and public transportation accessible. Our stay at the Biddle House was 6 weeks in total which I surmise is much longer than your average client who comes to Chicago for a long weekend or a week long stay. During our stay we enjoyed getting to know the staff of At Home Inn Chicago and all of our needs were handled by them in a very professional manner. We thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood and its' friendliness was evident by the fact that we became acquainted with many of the neighbors who we met while on our daily dog walking routes. The apartment itself is in an historic home which dates back to the late 1800´s. The decor is quaint and tidy. The rooms are small yet comfortable for short stays. The kitchen feels like a cottage kitchen with just enough room for a sink, stove and refrigerator and if you want to prepare your own meals you must make due with just a few pots and pans. You are walking distance to many restaurants with carry out options and a great grocery store with fresh salad bar and good produce options. The highlight for us with this property is the location and the wonderful family and staff of At Home Inn Chicago.

Family Vacation

Terrific location....walk to zoo, beach, eateries, and playground. Close to museums, Wrigley and transportation. Very nice neighborhood. Fantastic breakfast items from Whole Foods. Friendly staff if you need anything such as wi-fi adjustment. The major problem involved a heat wave in Chicago, and the window AC's were not sufficient, especially for the upstairs apartment. Two bedrooms did not have any AC at all. If not for that, I would have given this 4 stars.

Wonderful "Wicked" holiday!

My Mother, sister and girlfriend and I traveled to Chicago to see "Wicked" as my niece was the "Green Witch". We had a great time in the Biddle House and found it easy to get where we wanted to go. It was so much better than a hotel and more relaxing. It was a terrific four days and we loved Chicago.
