Vacation Rental Description

Escape to the hills of Alto Pass! Visit local and nearby wineries with summertime and fall festivals. Drive to the top of Bald Knob. Discover the natural beauty of southern Illinois. Explore the surrounding Shawnee National Forest - Little Grand Canyon and LaRue Pine Hills nearby.

Visit local orchards and nearby state parks like Giant City. Fish in Cedar Lake and numerous other lakes. Shop at antique and specialty stores. Plus there is so much more if you like hunting, golfing, hiking, bird watching, biking, boating, and horseback riding.

Then relax in the quiet, peaceful and private setting of the Alto Guest House, a southern Illinois cabin rental. We've completely renovated a small cozy and quaint house and transformed it into a lively, contemporary larger space. We added more room with high ceilings and gave it lots of natural light.

Two bedrooms with one queen and two twin beds. A loft is available with two twin inflatable mattresses. Kitchen has microwave, electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and some small appliances. The dining area comfortably sits six people. The large 24 x 8 foot deck spans the rear of the house overlooking the fenced-in yard and the woodlands below. A Southern Illinois Cabin Vacation Rental.
