Great place to stay!, October 1, 2008

First of all, when we walked in our mouths dropped open. The photographs do NOT do it justice as another reviewer stated. The appliances are all nice and everything was in working order. Make sure and request specific appliances if you plan on cooking and they will provide. (mixer, food processor) The home was very clean. They have two commercial washers and two commercial dryers. There is a pole to open the theater room windows if you get hot! We loved it up there and the view from the upstairs balconey was perfect for the White Sox fireworks show. The lower floor was like a suite in itself and had it's own wet bar, as did the theater room. If you want music on the main floor where the kitchen is, bring some CD's for the CD player, no TV on that floor, but TV are everywhere else. The garage parking was great and we were close to everywhere we needed to be. This was a business trip with co-workers and it suited our needs perfectly. I would recommend this rental to anyone.

I highly recommend this house and the owner. The house is very nicely furnished with all modern conveniences and is very conveniently located. The owner and his sister were extremely helpful and quick to respond to our questions about the property, neighborhood, etc. We had ample space for our two families (four adults, three kids and two toddlers). The neighborhood seemed safe---we had no cause for concern. The reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5: We were there over the 4th of July weekend. The night of Fri July 4 was very loud because of fireworks all around us that went past midnight. The night of Sat July 5 was better in terms of fireworks but the residents two houses down decided to have a party with live amplified music. The party ran until after 12.30am. Neither night was good for our toddlers. Our third night (Sun July 6) was nice and quiet--everybody got a good night's rest.

This is an amazing home. Everything was as published. The photos don't do it justice. Tastefully decorated, it more than met our needs and expectations. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 11 including 4 grandbabies. The neighborhood was very nice and, with easy access,just a few minutes from downtown. The owner is very gracious and accommodating. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
